The next morning.
John."Del....."
The husk of my voice rang through the still morning. I heard Delta groan in response, her little arms attempting to hug me closer to me as I reached over to turn off the alarm.
"We gotta go....." I mumbled softly against her hair.
"I don't want to," she replied as she opened her eyes slowly, lazily watching as I slowly sat up.
I rubbed his eyes, the sound of my yawn disrupting the morning serenity. I looked back at Delta's adorable, half asleep expression, smiling as I swung my feet off the bed.
Despite the consecutive crappy mornings I've been through since I moved in, it seemed like today was a more uplifting than usual. Maybe I'd consider greeting Blyke this morning.
Before I could completely move, I felt Delta's small hand grab mine. She slowly settled her body on top of my lap, slowly slithering her arms over my shoulders like boa constrictors. Her eyes stared at me with an uncharacteristic, lustful intent, slightly catching me off guard.
"Good morning." Delta said with an alluring voice, wrapping her arms around my neck.
"Del...." I asked in a low, shaky voice, "What are you doing?"
Instead of answering me, she hugged me closer, letting the top of my jacket slip off her shoulders......her lithe, feminine shoulders. My eyes swept over the intricate detail of green scales painted on her skin, snaking down her back and around her arm.
"Good.....morning....?" I replied in a small voice, tentatively placing my hands on her waist.
Oh god. This is way too much stimulation.
Tattoo. Shoulders. Tank top. Bed head. Gray eyes.
I always knew she was hot, but morning Delta was an open flame.
My breath hitched as Delta pressed her lips softly against my neck. I felt her chest press against mine as she skimmed her lips in a tentative motion, making me raise a brow.
Lips, I thought idiotically. Were her morning kisses always this sensual?
In a deliberate motion, the weight of her body pinned me against the bed. Delta's lips moved away from mine as she planted soft, light kisses on the bare parts of my chest, making me shudder.
Is....this a dream? I thought dumbly as I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Do you......want to reconsider what you said last night?" She asked as my eyes swept over the seductive arch of her back.
Yes.
"Are....you okay?" I asked strangely.
She studied me.
"Of course I am." She said, smiling. A little too cheerfully. "I'm just.....happy to see you again."
So happy that you'd want to get my blood flowing this early?
And even though I was living every man's dream, I couldn't help but feel as if something was off. It didn't make sense. Preened, high class Delta turned into sexy, rendezvous Delta? She wouldn't even stay up past eight thirty on a weekend.
"John? Why are you staring at me like that?" She cocked her head slightly, allowing a navy lock of her to fall over chest.
