Callie P.O.V
My first few classes have gone safely enough that I think I'll actually make it through the day, thank God I don't have Spanish on Wednesdays.
Harry and I decided we are going to eat outside today because we haven't had a chance to talk yet.
As we're walking down the steps into the courtyard with our lunches swinging from our hands in paper bags Britney, her brunette tag-along and two jock boys come bustling down the steps behind us. One of the boys bashes Harry from behind, causing him to have to trip and beginning falling down the stairs, I reach out a hand and pull him back to his feet super naturally. He looks back at me wide eyed in shock, luckily the crowd of chaos causers didn't seem to notice.
"How did you...?" He begins, but I instantly cut him off.
"What the fuck?" I hiss angrily, turning aggressively on the culprit."Woah, sorry princess," the pusher says, his hands up in mock apology. "Damn, aren't you a firey one." He says playfully, his dark eyes twinkling with amusement.
"She's kind of cute isn't she Jay?" The blonde boy steps up beside his darker friend, making them a perfect contrast. His eyes looking over me hungrily, making my skin crawl.
"Yeah, she is." Jay replies with a more thoughtful tone than his friend's malicious one.
I narrow my eyes in confusion but before I have time to think of a response Britney matches up and places a protective hand on the darker boy's shoulder. "That's probably why she was picked up by the Avengers." She says slyly, pursing her full lips at me.
"What do you mean?" Jay asks, not removing his eyes off me. I feel my stomach drop, I wish he hadn't asked because I know what's coming.
"Well," Britney fake whispers, loud enough for us all to hear. "I've heard that Callie bones her Dad and Uncles, among other sexual favours." She and her brunette friend giggle maliciously, I shake my head feeling the colour drain from my face, the nausea beginning to set in.
"Oh, can I take a go Callie?" The blonde boy snarls, thrusting his hips at me sending the girls into a fit of laughter.
"Shut up," Harry snaps, grabbing my arm and dragging me down the final few steps. "Come on, let's go." He says to me, but before following I look back at the dark boy, who meets my eyes, his face apologetic and I swear he mouths the word 'sorry', but I must have imagined it.
We find ourselves a spot under a tree that's far enough away that no one can over hear. Harry quickly turns on me, "firstly, are you okay?" Hand on hip, he raises his eyebrows at me.
"Yeah, I'm, I'm okay." I manage, still feeling queazy.
"Really? You look like shit. You shouldn't put up with this saying crap like that, it isn't right." He blurts, sitting down on the grass.
I follow suit, clutching my knees to my chest. "I know, I just don't know what to say. Just the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach, and after last night.... I can hardly look at my Dad."
"What happened last night?" He says quietly, nudging my shoulder softly.
"The worst thing happened," I whisper and proceed to tell him about walking in on my Dad.
"Oh my gosh," he laughs, "I am truly sorry, that's awful."
"Yeah," I force out a laugh, "combine that with the frequent trauma reminders from Britney and her posse and I'm a down right mess." I say bitterly.
"That's horrible, sorry." He grimaces, "would it help to tell your Dad about the bullying? Like it sounds like it's bringing up some weird emotions...."
