"Hello sir, how are you? and where are you?" Detective Han asked, anxious.
"I'm alright. How is the team holding up? Any interesting cases so far?"
"It's pretty much the same. The only interesting thing that happened was we had an arson case this week! We miss you so much."
"That sounds fun. Detective Han, I called to ask your help." Yi Sook shifted in his seat, holding the phone tight. Detective Han fell silent.
"What is it, sir?"
"I want to ask if there is anything unusual happening around the town. Did you get any cases that were.. weird or unsettling?"
Detective Han excused himself for a moment while he tapped away at his computer. Yi Sook waited patiently, but his heart leapt every second.
"I didn't find gruesome murders or anything, but there is this one case."
"Which one?"
"An accident. An old man was hit by a truck two days ago. That was pretty messed up."

Yi Sook scratched his head. "This is unusual, how?"
"The old man's wife told us during the initial investigation that he always stuck to the route from his shop to his home. His body was found in the highway, almost 30 kilometres away. And he didn't have a vehicle with him. There is no way he walked all the way there."
"What about the suspects?" Yi Sook took a sharp breath.
"There were none. Forensics stated that the death didn't happen elsewhere and his body was dumped in the highway. There were no DNA traces of anyone else and no signs of struggle. We finally closed the case as there was nothing to support the investigation."

Yi Sook leaned back on his chair, rubbing his forehead. Detective Han cleared his throat.
"Sir, why do you ask?" He asked carefully.
"I want you to listen carefully, Detective Han. I want you to trust me, okay?" Yi Sook said quietly.
"Is everything alright?"
"Yeah. I have information from a trusted source. I don't know when, or how, but there is going to be something big happening soon. You need to alert the public about this. Keep them safe."
"This is very ambiguous, sir. What is happening?" Detective Han said, confused.
"I can't give you much details, but this will happen soon. Very soon, in a matter of days. When it happens, I want you to keep the public safe. Keep them somewhere underground, or hide them in a big school. I'm counting on you, Detective Han."

Yi Sook ended the call and leaned over the sofa. He was still in Hotel Blue Moon, in the cold, thinking about what to do about Aghui. Do Hwan stood in the doorway and gently knocked. Yi Sook saw him and turned back.
"What are you thinking?" Do Hwan asked, plopping down beside Yi Sook. Yi Sook sighed and shook his head.
"Did Ae Ra leave?" Yi Sook questioned. Do Hwan nodded. "She has gone to change and rest. I told her to take the day off, but she refused." He chuckled. Yi Sook nodded, smiling.
"I asked, what are you thinking?"
"Aghui. And the public, of course. In the worst-case scenario, we will be dead and there will be pandemonium." Do Hwan laughed at Yi Sook's words.
"We will be fine, Detective. All we need to do is distract her until Ma Go is back."

Yi Sook stood up. He glanced at Do Hwan who was sitting rather relaxed in his seat.
"Do you really believe Ma Go will be back?" He asked, his voice breaking. Do Hwan sighed.
"Beliefs can be a bit crazy, I think." Do Hwan smiled. "We will get through this." Yi Sook nodded.

They just stared in silence after Do Hwan's answer. A silence that felt like an eternity of it. Do Hwan decided to break it.
"Detective Kim, do you hate me?" He asked bluntly. Yi Sook raised his eyebrow at the rather off-handed question.
"I didn't begin to like you yet if that's what you're asking."
"Why though?" Do Hwan asked, amused.
"Why not?" Yi Sook retorted, with a slight smirk on his face. Do Hwan held his hands up in a defeated smile.
"It's because of Ae Ra." Yi Sook continued without probing. "I think you are dragging her into a dangerous path." Do Hwan nodded, satisfied.
"You seem to like her." Yi Sook said, leaning on the table behind him. Do Hwan looked like he was choking on air.
"No.. not at all, I mean, I like her as a colleague. Nothing more." Do Hwan said while fanning his hand over his face. Yi Sook shook his head, laughing. He walked to the pitcher and poured a glass of water. He brought it back to Do Hwan, with a mischievous smile on his face.
"Oh yeah, this is totally a normal reaction."
Do Hwan grinned sheepishly. Yi Sook continued. "I saw the way you look at her. No point in denying it." He said playfully.
"She is really great. I haven't asked her out though, but.." Do Hwan dragged.
"You're planning to?" Yi Sook asked, to which Do Hwan nodded. "I don't know if we will survive though. If we do, I will." Do Hwan finished. Yi Sook nodded, satisfied.
"I need you to tell me the truth, Kim Do Hwan." It was Yi Sook's turn to be blunt. Do Hwan looked up, confused. "And I need you, to be honest with me. Who are you?"
