"There's a mole in the Resistance," Poe's voice echoed what Y/N had said. It felt like time had stilled in the shuttle. First, it was disbelief that rippled through everyone present, then shock, then anger and for most, it settled as the main emotion, but Y/N's mind was going haywire, as she practically pushed Bodhi out of his place by the panel and disabled communications with the base.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Jyn came up to the three people with the thought in mind to restore comms before Y/n's hand stopped her movements by grabbing her wrist almost painfully tight. "We have a mole in the base, which means they are talking to the Order about what the Resistance is doing. It also means that they have inside knowledge and could be quite high up since they were able to cut mine and Poe's comms with the base off and keep them that way for three whole days. And now, if we alert anyone- the General, Mon Mothma, hell if Poe decided to alert our teams- the mole would know that we know about their existence."
Jyn was still seething with anger and hatred towards the girl, but even she had to admit Y/N was right. "And we don't know where the traitor is right know."

"Exactly. We could be endangering everyone going to Yavin4 and everyone already on the base. Besides, we don't know if there are Order sympathisers already there. My best guess would be that there isn't, but only for now."
"Well what do we do?" it was Baze this time. He had made his way next to the rest of the rebel group, Chirrut right by him. "If we can't warn anyone, what is our plan of action? The sympathiser already knows that your part of the Resistance is moving to Yavin4. They're probably the reason the First Order found out about D'Qar in the first place and now our home is in danger because of that."
Y/N looked up at Poe. They were at a dead end. Tell the Resistance and the mole will know. Don't tell the Resistance and they will lead an attack on Yavin4 while getting more and more information about what is going on. By keeping the comms off longer and longer they would be rousing suspicion, but with the traitor possibly hearing them and their plans, the Resistance would be in more danger than before. A selfish part of Y/N also didn't want them to know who she truly was. It would mean that Kylo Ren would know Y/N's back and she's with the rebellion and that meant Cassian having a big red bullseye on him.
"Bubbles?" Poe softly pulled her out of her thoughts. "Got any ideas?"
But it wasn't Y/N who spoke, it was Cassian. "I've got one."
The eight other heads turned in his direction. "The mole doesn't know at the moment we know about their existence. When we switch the comms back on we say we had some solar interference or that the ship had a malfunction, shake off the suspicion." It was like Cassian had read her mind. "For now, we act the same, talk about the same things and pretend that nothing is wrong. Once we land we request a one-on-one with Mon Mothma, to talk about what Y/N and Poe recovered during their mission."
He was looking at her, eyes searching if she followed his plan, but they both already knew that their minds worked almost in sync. It was like Cassian expected for Y/N to end his thoughts. She didn't want to. She didn't want to give him hope that everything could go back to the way it had been, but reluctantly Y/N did just as Cassian had hoped. "We tell Mon Mothma that Poe and I need new ships, but to update the comm system as the walkie-talkies were cut off too. Mon Mothma knows, she has to know that only someone on the inside is capable of directly interfering with the system like that..." and in right that second Y/N concluded something else, "which means Leia must know too."
She looked at Poe. "Leia would have never let us go without communications, never for this long unless she already knew about the mole. What did Lexi say? There was a scouting mission sent out for us?"
"Yeah," it seemed like the wheels in Poe's mind had started to work again, surpassing the initial shock, "and that they had an ambush. That's because the First Order knew about it."
"The only thing I don't understand- why wait this long? Why wait to attack the base? They must have been there for quite a while, what has changed now?"
"You," Cassian said, "you're coming back to Yavin."
Y/N gulped before answering. "We had no intention of doing that."
"You didn't, but maybe they did. Mon Mothma made us keep in contact with the base almost 24/7 while we were on our mission and my guess is that whoever it is, knew we would be passing by Jakku on our way back and they knew that you and Poe were on a mission so the att-"
"The attack on D'Qar was deliberate to have us step onto the ship and we'd have to go to Yavin4." Y/N finished and she knew it was all because of her. The information BB-8 carried couldn't be that important, she did hope it gave them the upper hand, but it couldn't be the reason their whole base was destroyed, given the fact of how much info Poe and Y/N and everyone else had gathered before all this. And it definitely wasn't the medical supplies, which left only her.
She hadn't wanted to admit what she had felt in that moment when their walkie-talkies stopped working. She hadn't wanted to acknowledge the faint tug of the Force she and Leia had so meticulously hidden deep in her. Kylo had called, trying to unravel free the connection they had had, but Y/N hadn't relented, not since he gave her that scar almost a year ago. But he had found out where she was. And now he was coming for her.
Cassian seemed to have made a similar connection, that it had something to do with the rebels they had picked off of the desert planet, but even more so with Y/N. "What happened Y/N? On that last mission before..." it looked like he had a hard time making the words come out, "before you left?"
"Kylo Ren happened," she whispered so quietly Y/N wasn't sure anyone heard her, but they had. She had to tell them now, without Leia here and it made her stomach turn. She had wanted to keep at least the Rogue One out. Poe, she wasn't okay with telling, but there was no choice left for that. Rey and Finn, Rose and BB-8, Han and Chewie, they would also have to find out, but Y/N was not fine with telling Rogue One. They had been her family, one that she truly loved. One that had been the first to accept the overly reckless yet lovable girl, that had made her feel like her life had now not only purpose but a home.
"Fine, here's how we'll do it. Bodhi will switch back up the comms and we'll have," she looked at the holo-pad, "five hours till we get to the base. I'll tell you all what happened," she didn't look up at Cassian when she said that, "but we will go to the weapon's cell and leave all holos, anything like that behind."
"In the meantime, everything goes back to normal. We keep around a twenty-minute break between us talking, not to cause even more suspicion and while that is happening," Y/N pulled out a small piece of paper as to signify what she wanted the rest to do. "Any ideas are put down on this, no technology. They're probably monitoring anything we type too." She stood up and started walking towards the end of the ship. Jyn immediately followed suit, wanting to know what she had to say, but Y/N put her arm out in a stopping motion. If she was about to tell how her life had gotten so screwed up she'd start with the man she loves. Y/N didn't want anyone else to recount and maybe leave a part of the story out.
"Cassian first," without a look if he was following her or not she disappeared into the weaponry.
