"Commander Delaqour," Poe's voice immediately grabbed her attention, as Y/N entered the room. After being called by her real name so many times that day alone, the alias felt strange, but she quickly understood the meaning of the message. "Could I please talk to you in private?"
"Yeah, sure," she had her eyebrow raised in question as her Y/E/C eyes glanced at Cassian, who unsurprisingly didn't look at her, though his stance had gotten even more rigid than before.
Poe took the girl by her arm and led them a bit further, but not completely out of the way. BB-8 had followed his master and to Y/N he looked, if a droid could even look that way, nervous. His head kept rolling back and forth, turning to look at every corner and crevice, like there were eyes embedded in the ship's walls.
"We have a problem."
"What? What happened?" she felt her gut twist and that tug in her head almost snapped with how hard it was being pulled, but she willed another mental chain around it.
"So we did send a message, that Yavin4 could be the next potential target, explaining that the Order must be looking over old outposts."
"I doubt that Mon Mothma didn't already suspect it. Even without knowing about the traitor she'd definitely be keeping everyone alert and fortifying what she can."
"Yes, well BB had an idea to tinker with the walkies that were rendered useless and after opening it up we basically pulled it apart. Pulled out all of the screws and every piece and..." Poe fished out a small rectangular metal piece. To the untrained eye it would be nothing but that, but to Y/N, Poe, BB-8 and no doubt the rest of the Rogue One, they all knew it was a transmitter. Not for location, but for sound. It was so thin you could put it between two sheets of paper and it would not make an indent.
"Shit!" she whisper-exclaimed. From her side, she pulled out her own walkie, that had been hanging while she'd talked and had spilled the truth. Poe slid his finger over the seam where he'd found his own.
She crouched down to BB's level and the droid didn't even ask what she wanted him to do. He extended a couple of screwdrivers and without a sound opened up the side of the communication device. Giving it back to Poe, he gently peeled back a piece of tape that covered three connected wires and right behind that, something glinted, catching Y/N's eye.
Her heart dropped. The bug had been implanted in hers too. They knew everything, had heard every little bit of information she'd said. They knew about Naili, that she really was Y/N, they knew about her Force-sensitivity, but most importantly they knew every person aboard the ship had figured out about the Order's mole and their suspicions that the General had known all along.
Poe pinched one of the ends of the small rectangle as Y/N whispered, "we're in deep shit..."

"You have to let me off this ship!"
"I am not doing that!"
"Bodhi, you do realise that he is after me, personally!"
"He's after the whole Resistance. Just because you pissed off the princess of temper tantrums a little bit more than everyone else, does not mean I will let you flee."
Y/N pulled her hair and groaned. "I'm not fleeing, I'm distracting him!"
Cassian's gaze lifted to her after he had been ignoring the girl for the past fifteen minutes as the rest of the rebels were arguing about Y/N's idea. She'd proposed to them that because Kylo Ren has a personal vendetta against the girl, they drop her off on the nearest planet and continue their way to Yavin4. She was confident that he'd go after her and bring the largest fleet he has with because he just likes to show off. And because he knows how powerful she was.
Poe had immediately threatened to tie Y/N down and put his sock in her mouth if her mind even had a whisper of a thought about going to Kylo Ren. Alone.
"You may be the best commander I know and you may be one of the few friends I'd trust with anything I have, but I am not above gagging and handcuffing you to one of these chairs. What you are proposing is suicidal!"
"What I am proposing may be your only chance of survival." The stare-off the two friends were having was so intense and intimate, that it made even K-2 look away.
"I-" Poe cupped the girls face in his palms. The blisters and rough skin scratched her cheeks, but they had become one of the most comforting things in her life. "I can't lose you. I won't lose you to that... monster." He was crying now. "I don't fully know what is going on and what happened between all of you, but I will not lose my best friend on a suicide mission, not if I have any say in this."
"Well," it was hard for Y/N to say the words as she removed his palms, though she didn't let go, "it isn't. It's my decision and I say we go with it. The traitor, traitors, whoever. They already know everything we've talked about on this ship, up until right now. It'll unbalance them, and all their attention will go to Kylo coming after me and I can almost one hundred percent guarantee that the reason we have a spy in the Resistance in the first place is because of me."
"He knew that in the end, I wouldn't be able to stand back, that I'd continue to fight for our cause. Especially after our last meeting," her Y/E/C eyes glanced at Jyn for a split second, but it was so fast none noticed. "They needed to flush me out and they've gotten to their goal. But now I'm asking you to disrupt their plan and give yourself time to save everyone else. We have," the girl looked at her holo, that even in a shut-off state showed her the time, "four hours. Four hours to narrow down the possible suspects of who the mole could be and maybe even feed them false info."
Now that the girl was looking at her issued pad some cogs started to turn. "They can't be that recent, yet they haven't been in the Resistance that long."
"They have to have access to the technology department, specifically issuing and fixing the communication devices." This was Baze who talked up. "That is the only way they would've been able to implant the bugs in such a specific place of a transmitter device. Back on Yavin, we're not even allowed to go in the hangar where they do it, in fear of things like these. Maybe a rebel has been compromised, defected to the Order or just simply bugged."
"Right, yeah, that's right," Y/N started to go with what Baze was saying. "The bug could catch on to the frequency as the comms are being set up and transmit it to the First Order."
"Okay, so let's narrow this down," Jyn looked at Y/N and Poe. "Someone who once worked with the techs, who now has access to main controls back on the base, where there is constant supervision. 24/7 might I add. Someone close enough to the General as to not cause suspicion why they would be overseeing your mission or someone close enough to the both of you. If they're your friends they'd want to know what is happening with you."
For a second Y/N's and Poe's breaths hitched as they both thought of one name- Rose. She was a close friend of theirs, after Crait Leia would have no problem with her being on the command bridge and she knew how to work with tech and she'd be able to implant the trackers, but their mind eased as they remembered that at the time of Poe's, Y/N's and BB's mission, she was on the Millennium Falcon with Rey, Finn, Han and Chewie to go and see Maz Kanata.
But as her heart rate started to return to normal, another name popped up in her head and she went completely stiff.
"Lexi," she breathed out.
"No," Poe didn't want to believe that. "She- she can't be, she's your second in command."
"Exactly! She has access to the bridge, because," Y/N emphasised the word, "she's my second in command. But before that, before Lexi became a pilot..." it all started to make perfect sense to Y/N. "One night, we uh, we were fixing up our X-Wings and as a joke, she started to talk with me through the walkies, but mine kept jamming. I told her that I'll go and give it to tech, but she said she knew how to fix those things. That she once worked for tech as well..."
Y/N kept looking at the ground, the puzzle pieces finally coming together. "She would know where we were, where our ships would land. She would be able to tell the Order about the Blue Squadron's rescue mission... It's her, it has to be her..."
Poe was at a loss for words. "I allowed her to lead my squadron. I allowed her to take my spot when I couldn't... I put the lives of my friends in the hands of an Order sympathiser!" He was veering into hysterics.
"Poe, hey look at me," Y/N grabbed his unshaven cheeks in her palms, "look at me." His eyes showed panic and anger, remorse and confusion. "You did what a commander would do you. You gave the authority to someone you thought was qualified when you yourself couldn't do it, okay? You did not know what a snake she is, no one knew..." though even Y/N had a sneaking suspicion that Leia had.
Any time the General had wanted to talk to Y/N, before a mission or something, Lexi had been hovering nearby. She'd always had the upper hand, but now, they had the advantage. And Y/N be damned if she didn't use it.

The next hour was spent trying to figure out a plan to flush both Lexi out and away from the base and to also create a distraction for Kylo, allowing the rest of the Resistance to safely relocate.
As many times as Y/N had suggested making them leave her on Crait- the closest system that still housed remnants of a base (ironically enough that it was the planet their last major battle had occurred on and Kylo had not even sensed Y/N's presence, yet now, it would be where in Y/N's mind she'd meet her doom)- the same amount of times Poe had rebuffed her.
"I will not let you go alone, you're being unreasonable."
"Poe, we're running out of time and options. It's the best plan that we have. We tell Lexi that someone jammed our systems, that they made us drop out of light speed and ask her for help. She should not suspect anything and I'm her commander. Every X-Wing is equipped with another hyperdrive. With what happened with Snap's ship, I requested Leia to add it to the equipment. Whenever the ship is docked and repaired they get stored in there. And yeah, it would be weird, as the shuttles drive is a different module but we say it doesn't matter, we can adjust it."
"In the meantime, you park somewhere further away. Away from the eyes of the Order and just let me do the thing, let me make her confess. I'll have the walkie with me and you'll hear everything."
Bodhi had found a way to connect the transmitter Poe had had with Y/N's. Their walkie had stayed in the dismantled positions apart from Poe's. When Y/N had finally relented that the rest stayed on the planet too, for the girl to have an escape route, he insisted on being able to hear everything. So the ex-Imperial pilot and the commander of the Gold Squadron had rewired their transmitters so that Poe could listen in on what they were saying and also record it. So that they could have proof in case anyone doubted their story.
"Okay, fine," he didn't sound fine at all, "but at least take BB with you. She'll get suspicious if there isn't anyone else around."
Y/N thought over what Poe had said. She loved the little droid and even thinking about having their friend in the vicinity of a traitor made Y/N want to throw up. And with the stunts he'd pulled by saving Rose and Finn, it could turn into BB saving her, if that was needed (which Y/N knew would never happen as with what she'd planned, yet kept quiet there was no going back for the rebel girl).
"All right, but only BB. No one else. I'm not about to endanger people if there is any way of steering clear from that."
"With your presence alone you have already increased the risk of certain death by 58%. With this plan, you have made it jump to 89%." K-2 didn't even look up as he flipped a switch and dropped them out of hyperspace.
She looked over to Cassian who hadn't even spoken a word while they were trying to decide on a plan, but his brown eyes held a piercing stare. His jawline was set and hatred burned in them making Y/N's stomach churn. "That was for the best. And so will this be."
Surprisingly enough he hadn't rebuffed anything they'd offered, just stood there by Jyn's chair, arms crossed and brows furrowed. "He trusts his team, he trusts his decisions, he trusts them to make good calls, because maybe someday he will have to pass off the mantle to either the spunky girl or the quiet pilot, the mountain of a man or the unwaveringly faithful Force-believer."
But in actuality, the reason Cassian had not spoken a word was because he was forming his own plan to finally face off with Kylo Ren and make him pay for the pain he'd caused the woman he's madly in love with.
