There was no force or Force strong enough in this world, no matter the conviction to make Cassian stop loving Y/N and if it took him playing the charade of hating her guts, even though it made him hate himself with every fibre of his being when he thought for a second how much the looks he gave hurt her, all of it would be nothing compared to freedom both rebels would feel when they'd be able to reunite once and for all.
His mind or rather his heart had broken the spell almost immediately. After he'd exited the armoury, Cassian needed a little bit of time to gather his thoughts. Apparently Y/N had thought he was out of earshot when the man heard her say that she loved him. Right that second everything had returned back to the way it was, and he had never started to form a plan quicker than that of finding a way to kill Kylo Ren for how he still managed to hurt Y/N without even being there.
It didn't come that hard when the rest of the rebels started to talk about Yavin4 and how the Supreme leader was after her specifically. They had started bickering back and forth about letting Y/N off the ship and allowing her to draw the attention of the Order to her. That point had been hardest for Cassian to not snap and actually take Poe's plan of tying the girl to the ship or rather handcuffing her to Cassian and not letting her out of sight when they'd reached a compromise. Sort of.
It was insane, yet probably the least risky. If by 93% chance of failure and 89% chance of dying was the best option then so be it. They had decided Y/N would wait by the ruined gates on Crait. She'd wait for Lexi to land and exit the vehicle. When they were inside Y/N would make the defected pilot confess. The First Order would definitely be notified by her that Y/N was on the salt-covered planet, Kylo's attention would immediately go to finding the girl that held such immense power. Y/N would disable Lexi, not kill her, though almost everyone had argued for it, but Poe had made her level for simply knocking her out. Y/N would run to the X-Wing and take control. Once inside she'd allow them to know everything was taken care of and they'd all flee before the Order could even reach the hemisphere.
BB-8 would be the lookout, though Cassian himself wanted to follow Y/N, to be her back-up, yet the girl believed her illusion had worked and still held, so the rebel man had to keep his mouth shut.
His ears picked up the sound of Bodhi informing that their "hyperdrive was malfunctioning". All his senses were turned on the short-haired girl that butted in and dispelled any worries and told them that she'd ask for her second in command to help out.
From her back pocket, she pulled the holo-pad out and commanded Lexi to meet them on Crait, that they can't finish the trip without a new drive and landing on any other planet would be quite risky.
"Now we can only hope this works," she huffed out.
Cassian didn't even want to think of what would happen if something went wrong. Just the thought of Y/N not surviving or worse getting in Kylo Ren's clutches made him want to throw up. His brown eyes saw the blurry stars take shape as they veered into the Crait system. He looked over at the short haired girl, her back hunched over the holo-pad as she typed away furiously on it. "If you think anything will stop me coming back to you," he thought to himself, "I'll raise Hell and pull Heaven down to prove just how wrong you are."
