Chapter 32 : Come back

"The born leader and rightful empress of the Minzatozaki empire, her Highness Minatozaki Sana" they called her name.

So, she and Tadao began walking down the stairs.

They were all dressed up for the occasion. Sana was wearing a beautiful red dress. Her hair was pushed back by a headband made of different sized rubis. Her neck was decorated with a gold necklace and she wore a gold ring with a black crystal on her middle finger of the right hand.

Tadao wore a sober black tux, and a red tie matching with Sana's dress.

All in the room could feel the power emanating from their presence as they took synchronized steps heading down the stairs.

Slowly.

With pride.

Their aura was destabilizing, it was as if around them, time had stopped.

As they arrived at the base of the stairs, the world moved again. People went back to their chit chats and gossip.

Three couples, who seemed to be in their mid fifties, headed in their direction.

They wore what could only be million won clothing, and even more expensive jewelry.

"Empress Minatozaki" the first man spoke "wonderful you could make it"

Sana gave them a smile "well, I couldn't refuse such a kind invitation"

"I am Hyunsuk, and this is my wife Mari" he smiled.

"It's a pleasure" the woman nodded and Sana nodded back.

"I am Sooman, and this is my wife Jeongmi" the second man spoke.

"Glad you could make it" the second woman spoke. Sana nodded once again,

"I am Jinyoung, and this i-

"Joy" a woman interrupted the third man who had just begun speaking "I am Joy, it is a pleasure" she smiled brightly at Sana and Tadao.

It was odd, Sana thought. She seemed much younger, barely over her thirties. Her presence was the strongest.

Sana returned the smile "the pleasure is all mine" she looked at them, one by one.

What that Joy lady had done, irritated them, and none had  in the slightest way, tried to hide the irritation.

Sana chuckled internally, tension is high.

A waiter approached them, holding a platter where were presented various glasses of wine.

"Red" Sana told Tadao, who grabbed a glass and smelled it. He then proceeded to taste it.

He nodded and then passed it to Sana who began sipping on the wine.

"Well then" the man named Hyunsuk said "let's talk well, eat a little and drink a lot shall we" he led the way to a round table at the center of the room.

The meal was wonderful.

The conversation was mostly about Sana's father and his many achievements as a partner of the KM families. They reminisced about the good old days which was a pain in Sana's ass.

Words could not explain how annoyed she was at the wonderful tales about her father.

How could they think for one second that it would soften her?

Idiots she thought.

All of them were idiots.
