I wake up to the sound of my alarm blasting my eardrums. No bad dream. That's good.
I get ready and grab some breakfast before going to university.
Today's lecture is on anatomy, how the body reacts to physical effort and minimizing risk of injury after dance breaks. Mao and I sat together as usual. She's also a foreign student from Japan like me.
I really appreciate her company but I feel like she flirts with me sometimes... I'm lost in my thoughts when I hear my phone ring.
I immediately turn the ringtone off and look at my professor's disapproving glare. He's a fourth year student studying specifically muscle reaction, subbing for our usual professor, so he's my age...
"Mianhe" I look down.
"Distractions can cause accidents, injuries and embarrassment as Sana has just shown us" some girls laugh in the back. He looks at them.
"Nothing is funny about being injured or embarrassed ladies" they immediately apologize. I smile at him weakly. He's always so nice to me. The lecture goes on for another two hours when the bell rings. I pack up like everyone else.
"Want to eat at the cafe ?" Mao asks me.
"Yeah sure why not" we start heading towards the exit when I hear my name.
"Sana could you stay here for a moment please?" It's the sub.
"I'll meet you at the cafe okay ?" I head towards him. "Is there something wrong ?"
"I don't know Sana you tell me"
I'm speechless. Is there something wro-
"Listen. I know your private life is none of my business whatsoever. But this lecture and the two following it are very important for the exam, professor always asks a bunch of question on them but don't tell anyone I told you haha"
He so sweet "okay I'll be sure to pay attention, thank you" even I don't know where my head was at.
"Okay that's good, well then, see you at the next lecture"
"Good bye" I head towards the door when I hear him once again.
"Fuck! Noooo"
"Is everything okay?" I get closer to him.
"The salad I had prepared this morning spilled in my lunch bag and it's ruined... I have nothing else"
"My friend and I were going to eat at the cafe right down the university. Come, I'll get you something" this is normal. I'm a nice person so I'm not going to let him starve to death right ?
"No I couldn't possibly"
"Oh come on don't be so galant. A friend will be coming to get me afterwards anyways so we'll just grab something quick to eat"
"I feel so embarrassed"
"You shouldn't, what you should do though is buy better tupperwares haha" he laughs along with me.
We go to the cafe where we meet up with Mao which is stunned by the presence of our sub-professor. She wiggles her eyebrows at me. No I'm not going to fool around with the sub.
He is handsome though.
