Dahyun's POV :

I didn't expect it.

It was probably the last thing I had expected.

The thing I loved the most.

The thing I had missed the most.

Happening right here... right now...

Hate.

Anger.

Resentment.

All vanished at this loving act.

All annihilated at this soft touch...

All of these built up feelings, hidden behind closed doors, buried under deep, fake layers of laughs... finally all of them were set free as the soft pairs of lips touched mine.

When I finally realized...

In the face of sadness,

At the faintest trace of madness,

When my tears are ever so near,

As I drown slowly in fear...

It's now that it's worth trying, when I must try to stop crying.

I have all I've ever wished for.

Her love.

Her apology.

Her explanation.

Her.

Sana, I have Sana.

I've never asked for more, and she's here in front of me. Safe, healthy, loving me, kissing me...

Thank you, whoever, whatever brought her back to me... just thank you.

And so I decided to let it all go.

Call me a fool if you'd like... you'll understand one day...

I wrapped my arms around her and held her tight, deepening the kiss. I felt tears squished between our mouths, her tears. I felt her pull away.

"I was s-so, so scared..." she sniffled. I brought my hand to her face, and gently wiped those tears away "I th-thought you were dead" she breaks down sobbing in my arms.

I squeeze her tight with one arm, and gently comb her short hair with my available hand.

It's the first time ever I see her like this... it hurts me so much to see her in pain... what did this to her? She seems so small in my arms... so frail...

I look up. I had forgotten the girls. They had followed me closely when we heard Sana's screams.

I nodded at them that it was okay but Sana noticed as she lift her head up.

"You're okay" she said looking at them. She jolted up and began analyzing them frantically lifting up their arms, checking their heads "you're all okay"

"Yeah we're fine!" Nayeon said struggling to get out of Sana's grip.

I sat on the edge of the bed, looking at her doing all of the checkups. Once she had finished with everyone. She let out a huge sigh.

"Thank goodness" she walked towards me, went on her knees and leaned on me, resting her head on my thighs. Clutching on my waist.

"Sana wh-

"Just hang on a second please?" She asked with her baby voice. It made me smile. I rubbed her back as she was just beginning to get a normal breathing rhythm again.
