Chapter 42

- Next Interview -

We were almost over and this interviewer did a better job on keeping the topic on Diamonds. Only once did she asked about Zayn and not One Direction as a group, because Zayn is my fiancé, not 1D.

"Do you miss him?" she asks

"A lot. Even when I'm with him, and I blink and for that moment that I'm not seeing him I long to see him again." I stare at my screensaver.

"That is, the most romantic thing I've ever heard anyone say. Now, thank you for watching and please subscribe to our channel. This is Kacey with I Was Here by Beyonce."

I did the cover of the song all by myself and I nearly lost my breathe, I'm not used to singing a full song, not without Andrea.

After singing the cover I say, "Hi i'm Kacey from Diamonds and if you want to see more videos of us subscribe below."

I say goodbye to everyone and I head home. It's already 6.

"Mom! I'm home, is dinner ready-

My sentence abruptly ended after I saw Nick on the couch with my brother.

"Look who came to visit." My mom says

She smiles at me as if it was all good that my ex boyfriend was here and I'm not yet married and my fiancé isn't here. Usually, in movies, this is the time he thinks he can change my mind and get me to leave Zayn from him. Yeah too late for that.

Nick gets up and straightens out his shirt. I go in for a firm handshake and he pulls me in for a firm hug instead.

"Hey Nick." I say as non awkwardly possible as I could.

"Kacey, you've got goosebumps."

Not only was it chilly, the way my mom liked it, his touch was too familiar and he was so warm.

"It's a bit nippy in here."

"Yeah, but don't you like it that way?" he asks.

"I do, but I'm not used to it." I sit down on the couch that seats one person and take up as much space as possible.

"So your hungry?" my mom adds

"Yeah but I'll just have some cereal I'm not in the mood for a big meal."

"Can I have some too?" Nick asks.

"Sure thing dear, would you like some?" she looks at my brother.

Please say yes. Please don't leave me alone with Nick.

"No i'm full of cookies."

"I told you to save me some!" I yell laughing as I chase him into his room

We play a little and I run to the kitchen and forgot about my cereal. I had left Nick alone there for quiet some time and my cereal was all soggy

"Ew, I hate soggy cereal." I say in disgust as I spit the cereal back n the bowl

"Just get a new bowl."

"Wow I would've never thought of that." I say sarcastically.

"So how's life been?" I ask as I spill the cereal in the bowl.

"Great," he says with a mouth full of cereal, "I got a new job as co manager of Chili's."

Chili's was one of my favorite restaurants and we used to go there all the time and eat and watch football on the Tv's they had set up around the place.

"Oh! That's great, do they let you eat there for free?" I ask

"Sure but it'd have to be because I'm trying out something new for the restaurant. Which I do tomorrow."
