Vivi was trying to put up walls around her heart, and it clearly wasn't working because Haseul was becoming closer and closer to her. The past few days had been hell for Vivi. It was like since she found out they were dating she finally started noticing how close Jinsoul and Haseul were, how they would share quick kisses between classes, how they would always sit next to each other. Haseul would even occasionally get a ride from Jinsoul, leaving Vivi feeling empty inside.

Wednesday morning had been a sore truth Vivi hadn't been ready to handle. Haseul was comfortable about her relationship now, meaning Vivi got to watch them act like a couple, each kiss feeling like a punch to her gut. Haseul noticed her change behavior, Vivi had a promised her it was nothing important. Vivi just wanted to die, this was almost worse than being alone.

"Yo," Sooyoung said as they began packing up from lunch on Thursday, startling Vivi. "What's wrong?"

They were on the field again, the girls sat in a circle as they began finishing lunch. Haseul and Jinsoul were cuddling together, 2jin was playing some sort of hand game, while Jungeun and Jiwoo were just talking. Vivi had moved to sit on the bleachers, and Sooyoung had followed her with a worried frown.

Vivi blinked, looking away from Haseul and Jinsoul to her friend. "What do you mean?"

"Listen, you can fool Haseul but you can't fool me," Sooyoung put her hand on Vivi's shoulder. "You're upset,"

"I'm not upset," Vivi said defensively, looking away, back to Haseul. The short haired girl was seated in Jinsoul's lap, fingers intertwined as they shared an innocent kiss.

Vivi was about to throw up.

"If only you could see yourself," Sooyoung muttered. "Look, instead of bullshitting me can we just talk about it? I'm trying to help you,"

Vivi noticed how Sooyoung had cornered her just out of earshot of the other girls, and hesitantly looked up.

"I know more about you than you think," Sooyoung said gently. "You're holding a lot of stuff inside because you don't want to burden us, huh? I'm your same aged friend, you can talk to me or Jinsoul about anything-"

"Oh god, definitely not Jinsoul," Vivi buried her face in her hands, hiding the tears that were forming in her eyes.

"Why not Jinsoul? I get that you're not as close but-"

"She'll be mad," Vivi whispered. "Everyone will hate me,"

"Hey, no one will hate you," Sooyoung murmured, scooting closer. "We could never hate you, Unnie, you're too nice,"

Vivi sighed. "I don't want to trouble you..."

"Vivi, seriously, whatever it is I can handle it," Sooyoung promised. "I'm here for you, okay? You don't have to apologize or feel stupid for being upset,"

"Sooyoung if I tell you, you have to swear never to tell anyone. I mean it, NEVER," Vivi whispered, looking around at the girls to make sure no one was listening.

"Of course," Sooyoung nodded immediately.

"I like Haseul," Vivi confessed. When Sooyoung was silent, Vivi panicked. "I'm not trying to-"

"I get it," Sooyoung assured her, grasping Vivi's hand. "I don't think you'll try to break them up. Even so...wow,"

"Yeah," Vivi blushed. "Wow,"

"Hey lovebirds? Are you gonna help clean up lunch?" Jinsoul called to them, making Vivi suck in a breath.

"Hey Jinsoul? Fuck off," Sooyoung called back, rolling her eyes at the blonde.
