Salubong ang kilay kong nilingon si Zadriel. Nakangiti ito habang nakatingin sa cellphone niya, ang controller ay nasa ibabaw ng mga hita at tila ligayang-ligaya sa buhay. I shook my head and glanced back to the TV screen.

"Your character is already dead, moron."

"Congratulations then. This is the first time you won against me." he chuckled.

Umikot ang mga mata ko sa kisame at inihagis ang controller sa paanan. It bounces a bit as I lay on my back beside him. My eyes stayed on the white ceiling of my room and sighed.

"Is that Tate?" I asked.

"No other than."

Of course. Why am I still asking that? Si Tate lang naman ang nakakapagpasaya sa kaniya nitong mga nakalipas na linggo.

"You should start telling Diannara about it, Zad. The earlier, the better. Magkakagulo lang kung patuloy kayong magtatago ni Tate."

Isang buntong hininga ang pinakawalan niya. Hindi ko siya nilingon at nanatili lang nakatingin sa kisame.

"It's easy to do it, Zeph. But the problem here is Tate. I feel like she likes me too more than the benefits we're gaining from each other. She likes me romantically, as much as I like her too."

I scoffed. "How did it become a problem? Gusto ka niya kagaya ng pagkakagusto mo sa kaniya. Should you be happy?"

"Whenever I try to confess to her about my real feelings, she's just making fun of me. Parang ayaw niya maniwala. Kung maniwala man, parang walang pakielam. Ginagawang biro ang lahat."

Maybe that's just her defense mechanism. Maaaring hindi niya sineseryoso ang pag-amin ni Zadriel sa nararamdaman nito dahil natatakot siyang aminin na gusto niya na rin ang kakambal ko. Or she's just being careful for she knows that Zad is still in a relationship with somebody else. And Tate doesn't want to get hurt.

I don't know. Those are just my hunches. I still like her for my brother more than that Diannara bitch though. I just thought they are going to be a perfect match.

"Maniniwala rin siya sa'yo. Just make sure that you don't just tell her that you like her," I said and looked at him. He's also staring blankly at the ceiling. "Show it."

Narinig ko ang pagbuga niya ng hangin. "I didn't know I'd fall for her, Zeph."

I smirked. "She's your equal. You almost have the same attitude."

"Pretty much, huh?"

"Hmm. But Mommy doesn't like her."

"She doesn't like Diannara either. May plano ata si Mama na ipasok ako sa kumbento."

"Fortunately, they don't accept a devil, Zad."

His laugh thundered all over my room. "Silly. But seriously, I don't understand why she doesn't want Diannara neither Tate for me."

Mayroon na akong ideya, hindi lang ako sigurado kung tama pero base sa iaasal ni Mommy kapag kaharap si Tate, alam kong may kinalaman iyon sa nakaraan niya. Nila ni Kuya Reon. I don't want to tell Zadriel about it. Ayokong makielam. Gusto kong siya mismo ang makaalam ng sagot sa tanong niya.

"Whatever, I won't let her meddle with us. She can ask me to break my relationship with Diannara because I would gladly obey her. Pero hindi niya kami puwedeng manghimasukan ni Tate." seryoso ang boses na aniya.

"Walang kayo..."

He groaned. "Thanks for popping my bubbles, sis."

Natawa ako. Ginulo niya ang buhok ko dahilan para malakas ko siyang hampasin ng unan sa mukha. It's Sunday and we're here in our family house for some bonding. Hindi puwedeng hindi pupunta dahil siguradong magagalit si Mommy.
