Let's go! What the hell is taking you so long?

Gusto kong lumabas mula sa screen ng cellphone ko at bigyan ng malakas na batok si Alas sa ulo niya. I've already told him that I'm in a meeting right now and this is really important. My presence is needed here and Dad would get mad at me if he finds out that I didn't attend here. Pagkatapos ay basta na lang ako palalabasin ng unggoy na ito.

Me:

I said I can't go out with you! I'm stuck in a meeting and this is more important than your cheater ex girlfriend.

I rolled my eyes and slammed my phone above the wooden table. Naagaw noon ang atensyon ng lahat ng board members. Maging ang nangunguna sa meeting na siyang nasa harapan ay nakatingin na rin sa akin.

"Continue..." I ordered without showing any emotion in my face.

My phone vibrated above the table. Umikot ang mga mata ko dahil alam ko namang si Alas lang iyon. I tried to ignore it but he's now calling at me. Hindi ko nagawang i-silent ang cellphone ko kanina kaya naman ngayon ay nagwawala na iyon. I gained the board members' attention again and I totally feel irritated now. Siguradong kapag narito si Daddy ay magagalit iyon sa akin. Knowing how serious he is when it comes to business.

"Sorry..." I said and instantly declined the call as soon as I take a hold of it. A message suddenly popped up.

Alas:

We have a deal.

Me:

Just let me get through with this meeting!

Alas:

Don't try my patience, hun.

I've been rolling my eyes for a couple of times now and this brute still doesn't understand me. Kung siya kaya ang kailanganin ko at nasa isang importanteng meeting siya, mapupuntahan niya kaya ako?!

Kung sa bagay. I don't actually need his help just for Kris to leave me alone. It just so happens that I could also benefit from his idea of pretending to be in a relationship with me just to make his ex girlfriend jealous — mas maniniwala si Kris na ayaw ko na talaga sa kaniya. This deal is going to hit two birds in one stone.

But this meeting is really damn important. Huwag siyang makisabay.

Me:

My meeting over your ex.

Pagkatapos ma-i-send ang text na iyon sa kaniya, marahas na bumukas ang pinto dahilan para mapalingon ang lahat roon.

And there he was... the devil slash monkey wearing a blue button down shirt and black slacks roaming his eyes around the room until he found mine. He tilted his head as his lips twitched into a playful smirk.

"There you are..." he said and suddenly sashayed towards my direction with his full authority.

Bahagyang namilog ang mga mata ko habang pinapanood siyang nakamasid sa akin. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at marahan akong hinila patayo.

"What the hell are you doing here..." I greeted my teeth.

"Stealing you from this boring meeting," he whispered back. "Sorry gentlemen but I'm afraid I have to snatch your lady boss for she has more important business with me. Meeting adjourned."

As soon as he said that, he pulled my hand and walked out of the room with me. The board members were left dumbfounded. No one had even has the guts to speak up. Maybe because I am one of their bosses? Or maybe... they knew the guy I am with.
