Chapter 15 taking my innocence

Ariel POV

I tossed my sweater over my head and continued to kiss Niklaus. I felt something gooey and wet drip down my back. Nik pulled his hand away and laughed. I looked at him as seriously as I could, “What?”

“Look,” he showed me his hand, “paint.” He wiped his blue hand on the couch. He continued to kiss me. A few seconds after, he spoke into my ear seductively, “You want to go upstairs?” I smiled and nodded at him when he pulled back to look at me.  Nik swept me off my feet like I was a princess and carried me up the stairs. He turned down the hall I have never been down before and then went into a large room, much like mine, but more masculine.  I was gently placed on his bathroom counter.

“I think you need a shower,” Niklaus blew into my ear.

“I don’t want to take one.” I whined.

“But I do.” His hands fiddle with the clasp of my bra and threw it on the ground. I looked at him with a sly grin on my face. Nik reached over and turned the shower on. He took his shirt off and started to undo his belt. I reached my hands out before he could take his pants off. There was no way I would let him do everything himself. Despite the fact that I am a virgin, I would like to know what to do with at least one part of this experience. I pulled him close. We started kissing as I undid his belt and pants buckle.   He pulled me off of the counter and led me out of my leggings. The only thing between us was my panties and his boxers. Without hesitation or second thought, I took of my panties and he his boxers. My feelings of being self-conscious and intimidated were overshadowed by the feelings of euphoria and affection. Nik reached behind him and closed the door.

The coolness of his body mixed with my body’s warmth. As we kissed, we made our way into the shower.  Not even the steam would make Nik as warm as I was. Our bodies got soaked with water. Nik left a trail of kisses down my neck and chest. I pulled Nik closer and closer even though our bodies were already pressed flat against each other.  He washed off all of the paint from my back and carried me out to his bed, not bothering to dry himself or me off. We kissed and we touched. I couldn’t help but giggle, I had no clue what I was doing. Nik was patient and loving. It didn’t last as long as I expected it to, but it hurt way worse. I fell asleep in his arms, cuddling him.

I woke up to Niklaus, half-way sitting up, petting my hair. He grinned at me as I turned into him and stroked his chest. Nik kissed me on my forehead, “Good morning, Love.”

“Morning,” I laid my head on his chest.

“How are you feeling?”

“In love.” I smiled up to him. After a second I added, “And hungry.”

He laughed a genuine, full-body laugh; a laugh that came from the belly. It was one of the first times I have heard him truly laugh, “Would you like breakfast? I’ll make it.”

“Okay.” I yawned. Nik tossed me a sports bra, my panties, leggings, and one of his shirts. I threw the clothes on as Nik dressed himself. Before going downstairs, we brushed our teeth. Nick made eggs for breakfast, and when Rebekah and Elijah joined us at half past ten, we all ate. I practically sat in Nik’s lap, which got me odd stares from both of his siblings.

“Ariel, you weren’t in your room last night, what happened?” Rebekah asked. Elijah stared down at his plate and pounded the fork on his plate to pick up food.

“She slept in my room last night, why?” Nik answered for me.

“No reason,” She smirked.

“Rebekah, why is Ariel’s extracurricular activities any of your concern?” Elijah reprimanded her. He sounded disgusted and bitter.

“Elijah, no need to comment on what we do in our spare time, Ariel was merely having trouble falling back to sleep after a nightmare. I was comforting her. No need to assume that every virgin who enters my room leaves impure.”

“So, I have to take some tests for school, I’ll be done in a few hours.” I excused myself, “I’ll be in my room if anyone needs me.”

My tests were all finally finished and submitted by four in the afternoon. After I shut my laptop down and put it away, there was a loud knock at my window. Then another. And another. I walked over to it and saw Nik’s brother, Kol hanging on the edge, looking at me. Frightened, I yelped, but before any other sound came out of my mouth, he pried my window open and put his hand over my mouth, “I’m not going to hurt you. I need to talk with you. If you don’t like what I say, you can call for Nik, or Elijah, or even Rebekah.”

I removed his hand and crossed my arms, “What is it, Kol?”

“You know who Celeste is, right?”

“Correct, why?”

“She told me the truth; the truth about you.”

“What truth?” I didn’t understand what he was saying.

“She told Niklaus the other day that you had Witch and Werewolf genes in you and that is true. But that is not all, our mother is behind this. She created you somehow to kill us Mikaelsons. Your blood already killed Finn, and will kill any vampire that feeds on you as long as you are alive. There is also something that she did not tell my brother; you have vampire in you. My mother is set on all of us dying, hypocrite she is, and when you die, well, no one knows what will happen then.”

“Why are you telling me this?” I was angered by the secret that my lover kept from me.

“Because, I don’t want you to make a rash, impulsive decision when I tell you something you need to know.”

“I don’t…what are you trying to say?”

“Look, Ariel, Niklaus can be very deceptive at times. He hides terrible secrets from everyone. And I just found out something that you will not be too pleased to hear.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Your friend, Ethan – “

“What about him?” I almost shouted.

“Nik kind of turned him into a, uh… Ethan got turned into a vampire by Niklaus!” He stammered.

“He what?” I screamed and rushed out of my room. Searching for the cellar, I was intent on finding my best friend. A door came up and I found stairs behind it. I rushed down as fast as I could and searched every room. There was only one door left, which I pushed open. In front of me stood a raggedy Ethan who looked pale and ill. He looked up at me, his eyes filled with tears, “Ariel.”

“Ethan!” I cried, “Oh my god! Ethan! What did he do to you?” I rushed over and embraced him.

“Ariel, I’m so hungry.”

“I’ll get you something. I’ll be right back, I promise.”

“No, stay!” he held on to me as tight as he could. He breathed his cold breath on my back.

“Ariel. Get away from him!” I could hear Kol call out. But it was too late. I felt his fangs prick into my skin.
