It was the last day of summer and the Pogues were determined to make it last as long as they could, but the sun was setting and they all had the head home soon, at least three of them did.
The group laid out on the HMS Pogue as the golden sun created pink and purple in the sky, the colors reflecting down onto the water they were floating on.
Saturn had her head rested on Pope's lap as he had his legs out in front of him and was leaned back on his arms. JJ Kie and John B were laying out as well enjoying each other's company, Kie's head was rested on Saturns stomach as the darker girl played with the bracelets on her friend's wrist.
"You think things are going to stay the same when school starts up again?" JJ asked finally breaking the layer of silence over them. "I hope so." John B sighed looked between his group of friends, his family. His father had went missing several months prior but he was still trying to cope with being alone, but he didn't feel as alone when around the other teens.
"You probably won't see a whole lot of me." Saturn confessed causing all their eyes to snap down to her in fear their new friend was leaving them like Kiara had done. "My practices are till 6:30 everyday." She added instantly easing their concerns.
"That's okay, we'll come to your games." Pope said smiling down at the girl in his lap. "Hell yeah." JJ agrees making Saturn's heart race. She had never had people in her life to want to come and support her in anything.
"Oh my god are you going to cry?" Kie asked sitting up and staring at her friend wide eyed as she sat up as well. "No, Kie I'm not going to cry. It's just very nice that's all." Saturn replied sniffling lightly as she pushed her hair away from her face.
"Aw!" JJ squealed jumping on top of the girl causing her to fall into Pope. "Pogue pile." JJ cheered as the other teens laughed and joined in. None of them aware for what the following summer would bring.

"Where have you been? Dad's been asking?" Saturn looked up as she snuck into the house to see Sarah standing on the staircase watching her. "I was hanging out with my friends, why does it matter I'm home now?" Saturn asked not moving from her spot at the door, she hadn't wanted to step closer to her sister in fear of irritating her.
"You were hanging out with Kiara." Sarah's words weren't a question but instead a statement. Her eyes squinted as she glared at her twin for a moment. "Okay? She's literally my friend, and you've made it clear you want nothing to do with either of us." Saturn was getting beyond irritated as her sister interrogated her and headed for the stairs stopping a few below the other girl.
