Kokichi POV

Me and Shuichi were walking towards my house. I had to find out what to grab, since I pretended I forget something. I have to get something to make it seem like I wasn't lying. I'll just grab a notebook.

As soon as we were far enough from Kaede, Shuichi said to me,
"You didn't forget anything, didn't you?" he said.

I was shocked. How the fuck did he know-

"Nishishi~ looks like Shuichi can see right through me!" I said.
"Alright. Why are you doing this?" he asked me. Oh man I need to think of an excuse.
"Well, I- uh- so-" I couldn't make something up. Oh no I'm screwed.

Shuichi stopped walking and looked at me.

"You and Kaede are working together, right?" he asked.
"..Was it that obvious?" I asked. He nodded.
"If you want to be closer friends then you could've just asked."

but I wanna be more than that Shuichi.

I looked back at him, trying to hide my disappointment.
"Alright. Shuichi Saihara, I'd like to get closer to you." I said. "..in a friend way."

Shuichi POV
I could tell Kokichi was a bit disappointed. I don't want to be friends, but for now that's the best option until I have courage to tell my actual feelings.

"Kokichi, you can be honest with me." I said. "I hope you trust me."

The short purple-haired boy looked at the sky for a second. Then he said,
"Okay. I'll be honest with you." He then looked back at me. "Shuichi, how I actually feel about you is-"

But I glanced at my watch.

"Kokichi, we have to go, we're gonna be late!" I grabbed his wrist and ran to the school. Of course I wanted more time to talk with him, but at the moment there was no time for that.

We made our way to the classroom 8:03 AM. Three minutes late. Luckily the teacher wasn't there yet, so technically we were early.

"What were you guys doing?" asked Rantaro.
"Oh, Kokichi just forgot something." I said.

I felt three pairs of eyes stare at me and Kokichi. Miu, Tsumugi, Kaede. I realized why they were looking at us. I was still holding Kokichi's wrist. I let go.

Kaede clapped her hands together.
"Well, it looks like the teacher isn't here yet!" she said. "Anything you guys wanna do?"

We were talking about random stuff that came to mind, for example Miu just said Glitter Force and then everyone just started talking about it. It was like that until the teacher came into the classroom and told us to shut up and sit down.

Timeskip to Lunch

Everybody decided to try some place new. They chose to eat their lunch at an abandoned classroom nobody stepped foot in. There was nothing in the classroom, there was just a book.

They all sat around in a circle. They then started unpacking their food, and ate it.

"So how's your day?" asked Tsumugi.
"Atua says my day is going by wonderfully!" said Angie.
"Terribly. School is fucking hell." said Miu, taking a bite out of her sandwich.

I took a glance at Kokichi, who was staring at his grape Panta. Probably sick from all the Panta he drank during the party.

"Everyone!" exclaimed Angie.
"What the fuck do you want?" yelled Miu.
"Atua has founded a book!" Angie brought out a book from behind her. There was a book, and it was titled..

"DRV3?" asked Kaede. "Oh! They must mean the Danganronpa game we participated in! Why hydraulic presses though?"

"Who the fuck knows?" said Miu. She took the last bite out of her sandwich.

Oh shit. Hydraulic presses. I looked at Kaito, looking normal. He was just drinking water.

"I think I know why, but It's not important." said Maki.

I took a glance at Kokichi.

He was looking an Angie for a second, with a straight face. Then he suddenly lowered his head.

"Koki-" I said, reaching my hand out.
"I'll be right back everyone! The supreme leader needs to use the bathroom!" he said, with a smile. That smile was obviously fake. Then he ran off.

I stood up.

"Where are you going?" asked Maki.
"..Restroom." I said, then ran.

I saw Kokichi run down the hallway, and I followed him. He went around the corner, I went around the corner. I paused when I saw him go into the bathroom, and heard a stall shut close. I sighed, and walked over to the restroom.

I took a glance under the stalls. (not in a perverted way smh)
The stalls were empty, except the last one. I saw under the last stall, Kokichi's shoes. I walked over to the stall.

"Kokichi?" I said, knocking on the stall.
"What the hell do you want Shuichi I'm taking a dump." he said.

(jk that didn't actually happened I just wanted to include it)

"Hm? Hello Shuichi! Why are you checking up on me?" he responded.
"I was just checking if you were okay." I said.
"The ultimate supreme leader is fine! Go back to the others, I'll.. come back eventually." I heard his voice break for a short second.

"Kokichi.. are you sure? I mean.. the book was about hydraulic-" I got interrupted.
"DON'T CONTINUE THAT SENTENCE-" he said. Now his voice really was breaking.

"Kokichi."
"..What?"
"Are you crying?"
"What? No! The.. supreme leader never.. cries!"

I sighed.
"Kokichi, I said you can be honest with me." I said. "If you can't, I'll just leave right now." I took a few footsteps before the stall finally opened.

Kokichi took a few steps towards me, and lifted his head. Tears were falling down his cheeks.

"That.. was traumatizing. It didn't bring good thoughts into my head once Angie brought out the book." he said. I remember.. Kokichi got crushed by a hydraulic press in attempt to end the game. He got crushed to death.

"Kokichi.. It's alright. That won't happen again." I said. I put my hand on his shoulder. "We're out of the game now."

He nodded, and wiped his face with his arm. After like one second, he returned to his usual happy face.

"That was a lie!" he said.
"Damn you Ko-" I said.
"It wasn't a lie. Sorry Shuichi It's just something I always say."
"..Alright."

We returned to the classroom.

"Man what's up with everyone shitting together?" said Miu.
"Miu.." said Kaede.

Miu looked at us both.
"COCKICHI HOEMA! POOICHI SHITHARA!" she yelled.

"W..whats with the names?" I asked.
"They are my new nicknames for you! Ya like them?" she asked.
"No."
"hEeEEeE!"
