"mama tryna see us today" i spoke into the phone to my brother
"fa what?" he asked nd i could tell he was probably muggin
"hell i don't know, she sounded mad too" i added
"nope ian goin" he said and i rolled my eyes
"to fuckin bad im on the way to yo house" i told him truthfully "nd don't say you ain there i jus called ya girl" i added
"You ah opp ass hoe Maya!" he yelled down the stairs. they played around all day
"dont do my sister like dat" me and his wife acted like siblings too always fighting when we were around each other.
"fuck i doooo?" i could hear her voice letting me know she was in the room
"im posed to be sneakin out from Mari ass nd he know where i'm at. what if we was beefin?" he asked
"Domi be for real" she kissed her teeth
"i am being for real! you know we only fuck with each other three months out the year" he kissed his teeth.
"i think that's cause you be acting anti social Domani" she added "not too much on my brother nie"
"see thank you Maya, come open da door" i said hanging up the phone and pullin into their driveway
by time i turned the car off the door was opening slowly and was met by niece.
"heyy pretty girl" she ran up to me holding my legs and i smiled picking her up
"I missed you" she cheesed laying down on me
"i missed you more" i said walking towards the front door to see Maya standing watching us.
"her mean ass acting reall fake right now" she crossed her arms
"i got it like that, everybody love me" i said "joe the other one doin" i asked her. she was pregnant again
"i already know he gone be bad the way he be moving around. im tired jus standing here" she sighed
"it's a boy?" ain nobody told me nothing
"i don't know, i think so tho" she answered "i don't wanna find out until i have em like i did with her"
"where my brother?" i asked and she pointed towards the stairs "nd put her down so she can clean all these toys off my floor" Maya gave her that look
"don't look at her like dat, gone scare my baby" i walked up the stairs not putting Skyler down yet
"get up nigga" i mugged Domani who was sitting in the bed on his phone
"mane ion feel like it" he sighed looking up at me. Me and him had the same face he was jus slightly darker taking after my mama. we were also around the same height so when we were younger people confused us as twins even tho he's three years older then me.
"i don't care ma ain gettin on me cause i go see her without you" i shrugged
he sighed standing up and stretching before bending down and picking up sum shorts.
i walked out the room and back down the stairs seeing Maya in the kitchen looking around for something
"do me a favor slender man" she cheesed at me "grab dat bowl for me" she pointed in an open cabinet and i grabbed the clear bowl she was reaching for.
"thank you" she cheesed turning around i watched her empty a target bag that was full with different types of candy
she opened each individual bag and poured it into the big bowl until it was all in there.
"you want sum?" she asked nd i scrunched my face up
"i want some mommy" Skyler reached for her making me out her down
"you know damn well ian carrying you" Maya laughed "go pick them toys up and i'll give you sum" she said and Sky ran off immediately
"this the best salad for pregnancy" Maga cheesed grabbing a handful of mixed candy and stuffin it in her mouth
"that ain no damn salad" i kissed my teeth at her
"a candy salad nigga" she rolled here eyes
"Demari come on before i changed my min- Maya mane all dat sugar" He mugged her
"it's so good Domi" she said lowly looking down
"gone eat it fuck ion care no more" he kissed his teeth
Maya immediately looked up smiling and she waddled her way over to him "you're so sweet to me" she cheesed wrapping her arms around him the best she could
"yea yea, youn need all dat sugar tho for real" he said seriously and she frowned
"that's what the baby wants tho, i can't control it" she said with a sad look on her face
one thing i loved about their relationship was no matter where, or who was around they always acted like it was just them in the room. they were so centered around each other it was no doubt how much love was goin around
"you ready Mari?" he asked me and i nodded
"go put yo crocs on Sky" he called out and we heart the light footsteps running around
"you goin?" he asked Maya and she scrunched her face
"where?" she asked
"to see my mama" he answered before turning his attention to Sky who ran back in with sun tennis shoes
"daddy i want these ones on" she held em up.
He picked her up, sittin her on the counter. she was already wearing socks so he put both shoes on her feet before tying them up. he took her back down and she ran around the kitchen.
"yea i'll go" Maya answered
"lemme go put sum shoes on." she was wearing a green sun dress already and her hair was slicked back in a ponytail.
she walked away making sure to take the bowl with her and headed up the stairs
"come on Sky!" Domi called out walking towards the door, grabbing his keys on the way out.
she ran behind us and held her arms up making him pick her up.
i got in my car, turning the air on while he got her situated. Maya walked out the house a couple minutes later and locked the door behind her.
"imma follow you there" Domi told me once Maya got in the car. I nodded and pulled out his driveway
