Falling for you

When I came back it was almost noon. Noah and I walked all over Central Park, then we bought some food and made a picnic.

As I assumed at first he was a little shy, but in fact he wasn't, he was really smart.

When I got home there was no sign of Emerson. Everything was so silent.

I took a shower then put something on the tv. But I wasn't paying attention my mind was somewhere else. My phone buzzed.

Dr. Will: hello my sunshine
Dr. Will: sorry I haven't text a lot lately, I just have been swamped with work.
Andy: no worries
Dr. Will: how've you been?
Andy: great, I've been going out to run in Central Park and it felt great
Dr. Will: that's great I hope we can do that together sometime
Andy: that would be nice
Dr. Will: Andy I need to tell you something
Andy: tell me
Dr. Will: I think I'm falling for you

What?
I didn't now if I should laugh or take this seriously. How could he fall for someone he doesn't even know in person.

Andy: how could you fall for me? you don't even know me
Dr. Will: I do know you Andy, I know you are kind, beautiful, I know you are a hopeless pathetic romantic just like myself.
Dr. Will: I told you that I am a one woman man, and I believe in honesty, and that's what I'm giving to you.
Andy: Will, I haven't even heard your voice

Immediately after I saw that text my phone started buzzing

INCOMING CALL FROM WILLIAM

I answered feeling a little nervous
"Hello?" I said
"Hello sunshine" his voice was deep
"Hi" I said sweetly
"You have a beautiful voice" he said
"Thanks" I responded
"Where are you?" I asked To make some conversation
"I'm the hospital working, you?" He asked.
"I'm at my place watching some tv"I said.
"I envy you, I haven't had a resting day since the pandemic started" he said.
"You should take a day" I said.
"I should, but only if it is with you" he said
I laughed
"Wow your laugh is adorable, now that I heard your beautiful voice and laugh, would you believe me when I say that I'm falling for you?"

Honestly, I wasn't calling his bullshit.

"Will, you can't fall for someone you don't even know" I affirmed.
"But I know you, we've been texting for a month now, you know how I know that I'm falling for you?" He asked
"How?" I asked
"Because all day I'm thinking about you, about your smile, about talking to you, you are the best part of my day, and you're all that I'm looking for in a woman" he said.
"And what is it that you look for in a woman?"
"I am looking for a woman that is honest, and passionate, adventurous, a woman who awakes the fire in my soul, and you have done that Andy, I haven't felt this way since my wife died" he said.
I blushed a little and my heart ache at the thought of his wife. Ever since I started the app, my only purpose was to have fun, I've never intended to have something serious.

"Will, I'm sorry, but I don't feel the same way, I barely know you" I said honestly.
"We'll get there sunshine, just give me a chance" he said so sure of himself.
"Okey" I agreed
"I have to go now, I have a surgery" he said.
"Good luck" I said.

Was he for real?

After I hanged the phone with Will, I felt bored, not that that was new to me, I've been bored for the las 4 months.
So I decided to knock on Emerson's door. To see what was he up to.

I knocked twice but there was no answer.
So I left a note
