Dr. Will: how's my sunshine?

I woke up with Will's text on my phone

Andy: fine thanks you?

I answered half asleep

Dr. Will: sad of not being next to you

I didn't respond.

Dr. Will: so I was wondering...
Dr. Will: you know that I enrolled in the WHO organization to help fight COVID-19
Dr. Will: so they're asking me to get some benefactors for the organization and I thought of you, I mean you're always so kind and I thought you might want to help out

Andy: help out how?

Dr. Will: well you can donate some money

Was he just asking me for money?

Emerson was right

He was too good to be true

I laughed

Thank god I didn't fall for him

Andy: sorry Will but I'm in a difficult position right now.

Dr.will: are you saying that you won't donate to a global cause that is causing millions of deaths all over the world

Andy: mmm yeah I think that's what I'm saying

Dr. Will: I can't believe you
Dr. Will: what a selfish woman you are

I burst into laughter.

I change my clothes into my workout outfit, brushed my teeth and went straightly to Emerson's apartment.
I had to tell him about this, he was so right.

I looked at the clock and it was 7am, he must be asleep.
But I'm going to take my chances.

I went to knock and his door, I was expecting a sleepy, shirtless Emerson opening the door. But instead he opened the door all freshly showered, wearing jeans and a shirt, the smell of his delicious cologne filled my nostrils.
This was the first time I had seen him this way, most of the time he was in sweatpants and a hoodie, and he's never styled his hair like that before.
He looked so handsome. And clean.
I stared at him like an idiot.
Until he said
"Andy, are you there???"
"Sorry, I came to tell you that you were right"
"I'm always right" I sigh at his egocentric comment.
"And what am I right about?"
"Remember the doctor I was texting with"
"Oh of course the fraud"
"He just asked me for money"
He started laughing like crazy
"I knew it, and I hate to say this but, I told you so"
"Please tell me you  didn't gave him any money"
"Of course not, I could barely make ends meet"
"How's your website going?"
"Well it's just starting, I hope I have some clients soon, I'm also making some marketing in my social media"
"That's great, I'm sure in no time you will be packed with work"
"Thanks, that's what I'm hoping for, if not I'm going to have to move out"
Emerson face surprised with that comment
"If you need money I'll be happy to lend you some"
"No thanks, i have faith in this"
"So where are you going all dressed up and at this early in the morning"
"I'm opening the bar! The state has authorized me to open just with take out orders"
"That's amazing Emerson"
"Thanks! Maybe I could bring some leftovers for us to have diner tonight?"
"I'm sorry I can't"
"Why? Don you have plans or something?"
"Yes actually, I'm going to Noah's place"
"Oh"
He stood quiet, I could see something in his eyes but I wouldn't define what was. Between sadness and disappointment.
"See you later" I said as I walk to the elevator. I pressed the button and while I was waiting he said
"So you just kiss me and then go on a date with another guy? Way to go Andy"
I turned mad at his assumption
"First, you kissed me, second I'm not going on a date, he just invited me to hang at his apartment, and third Noah and I are just friends"
"You're right you don't have to explain anything to me, after all we're just friends"
"We are" I said, the elevator doors opened and I walked in.
Emerson watched me as I left mad. We were both looking at each other with hurtful eyes.
