Chapter 6

The ride home was quiet and actually peaceful. After the doctors office me and my mom were on our way to get something to eat. She had a look of regret on her face and I couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking.

"Mom, are you alright?"

"Yes honey I'm just really sorry i didn't believe you." She said trying to hold back tears.

"It's OK mom. It was an honest mistake. I know how much you loved him." I said as we went into McDonald's. We ate there and talked for a few. We discussed my options about the baby and I chose to keep it because I didn't believe in abortion and my mother agreed. She said she would help me raise the baby as long as I needed. The only rule was to finish school and get a job. 

"What about Jessica? What do I tell her?" I asked my mom on the ride back home.

"Well the truth of course but only so much because she won't understand the situation. Just tell her she is gonna be an auntie because of a bad mans mistake. But don't worry about that now hun we will wait till u start to show." She said "Until then just stick to the plan we came up with when we get home."

"OK." I said as i began to text Rain. She wasn't gonna be happy with the plan but she should understand.

To: Rain

Sorry I took so long to text you but I have a lot to tell you come over after school. -Jxoxo

I just hope she takes the news well.

After we got my mom and I began to follow thru with the plan. She went into Jessica's room and started packing all of her clothes and most valuables that she knew she wouldn't be able to live without. I started in my room and had all my clothes packed when I heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it." My mom shouted.

"Hi Mrs. Davis. Jannali told me to come over after school. Is everything alright?" Rain asked.

"Yes Rain come on in she's in her room." she said as Rain began heading up the stairs. "Oh and Rain?"

"Yes Mrs. Davis?'

"I'm sorry about yesterday. It was a really bad time that's all." Mom said

"Its fine I understand." Rain said coming to my room.

Rain's P.O.V.

I ran up the stairs after Mrs. Davis apologized and was shocked with what I was seeing.

"Um excuse me whats going on here, why are you packing? I asked

"I have to. We are moving to get away from Mark." Jinx said trying not to look at me.

"Moving where. not far right.?" I said moving closer to her

"To London with my Aunt Caroline. We want to be far away from Mark as possible. Plus my mom's job can transfer her there and I can raise the baby with the help of my mom. Also Aunt Caroline has a baby that will help me get ready to prepare..."  

"But what about me I'm your best friend you can't leave me here by myself. You know you guys are like my second family when my grandma needs help you guys are always there to help. What am I suppose to do now." I said cutting her off.

"Rain you can always come and visit." she said. I was beginning to cry. I know what she was doing was what was best but I didn't care. She was my only friend and I needed her, and it felt like she was abandoning me.
