"When I first met you I honestly didn't know that you were gonna be this important to me"

-August 20th, 2015-
-Alyssa's + Thayne's apartment-
-12 in the afternoon-

Alyssa's pov:
I sat alone in the apartment I shared with my brother. Oh, yea I'm Alyssa Riley Jasperson. Yes, my older brother is in Hamilton. Also yes I'm the youngest of the family. Between my 3 brothers and my sister. Which meant I was the most picked on. But that didn't really matter to me.

I have 30 minutes till I had to be at work. Thayne was practicing for Hamilton. Even tho I saw them on opening night and they did really well.

But anyways I grabbed my bag. Not really caring. If I needed to I would clean up a bit at work. I worked as a waitress at a restaurant just down the street from where Thayne worked. As I walked there I started to remember how Thayne and I got here.

Thayne told our mom that he wanted to move here full-time to be on broadway. Our mom called him crazy.

I wasn't doing so well there. I was going through a breakup that ended badly. It was affecting my mental health. So when Thayne said he was moving that gave me the opportunity to get out of Utah. Not that I don't love it there. But I needed change.

So I asked Thayne if I could move with him. He said the only condition was that I needed to find a job so we could split the rent in the apartment we would be sharing. I agreed and packed everything we needed. Just as I got to work so did my best friend. She opened the door for me.

I walked over to the mirror we had. Messing with my hair. I turned to her

I thanked her. I went to grab my apron. I was getting ready when my brother and his friends came in. Great. Just great. Not that I don't love him. But he was really annoying sometimes. I whisper to Leo

You wanna take my brother and his friends?

Nah I already got a table to take care of

I sighed. Guess I do have to take my brother's table.

Hi, I'm Alyssa, and I'll be taking your order today. Can I start you off with any drinks or appetizers?

Jon's pov:
As we ordered our drinks I couldn't help but stare at Alyssa. She was beautiful. I mean she's a Jasperson. And they're all attractive. I've seen their family photos. Hearing her talk directly to me made my heart smile. Her laugh was adorable.
