"There is a very fine line between saving the day and causing the disaster in the first place."

When Molly's voice echoed through the house the following morning, it felt as though Katherine had only just closed her eyes.
"Up! Everyone up! We've only got four hours before people begin arriving!"
A chorus of groans answered her.
Katherine buried her face beneath the blankets.
Five more minutes.
Unfortunately...
Molly Weasley had never accepted "five more minutes" as a valid argument.
The bedroom door burst open.
"Katherine Potter."
"...Yes?"
"Out."
She sighed dramatically before forcing herself upright, immediately wincing as her back protested.
Everything still hurt.
Not unbearably anymore—
thanks to Molly's endless potions and questionable herbal remedies—
but enough that every movement reminded her exactly what Voldemort had done.
Still...
Today wasn't about her.
Today belonged to Bill and Fleur.
That thought alone was enough to drag herself out of bed.
The Burrow had transformed overnight.
Every available surface was covered with flowers.
Blue ribbons curled around banisters.
Floating candles drifted lazily beneath the ceiling.
Fresh bread, pastries and fruit covered nearly every inch of the magically extended kitchen table, though thick white cloths concealed most of the feast until after the ceremony.
Outside, the enormous enchanted marquee shimmered beautifully in the morning sunlight.
It was impossible not to smile.
For one day...
Just one...
They could all pretend the war wasn't waiting outside.
Fleur had chosen only three bridesmaids.
Her sister, Gabrielle.
Ginny.
And Katherine.
It had surprised Katherine when Fleur had asked.
"You 'ave done more for this wedding than anyone besides Bill," Fleur had insisted the previous evening. "I could not imagine anyone else standing beside me."
So now the four women bustled around Molly's bedroom together, surrounded by garment bags, jewellery boxes, ribbons and enough hairpins to supply Hogwarts for an entire year.
The atmosphere was wonderfully chaotic.
Ginny was trying to curl her own hair while simultaneously helping Hermione lace the back of Fleur's dress.
Hermione kept checking the time every thirty seconds.
Molly darted in and out of the room issuing instructions before immediately forgetting she'd already given them.
