Chapter 6

Gon was currently packing his stuff to head home. He sighed and looked over at killua.

Killua was talking to michi. Gon rolled his eyes. Although michi was gon's friend he didn't like the idea of her playing with his feeling.

Michi is known as the 'slut' in school. But michi didn't mind she actually liked it.

Gon walked away and headed out of the building.

"Gon!" Killua called. Gon turned around and noticed two people walking with killua. One had glasses and wore blue. The other wore red.

"So yeah, never wax your as-" this guy in red said. But stopped when he noticed gon. "Nothing!" He yelled.

"H-hey?" Gon said confused.

"Gon" both boys said blushing.

"Hey gon, did you see the news" Killua asked.

"No? What happened?" Gon asked.

"Another girl is missing. God- so many people have gone missing"  Kai said.

"I didn't know people go missing here-" killua asked.

"Yeah- Evergreen is the home of mystery's"  gon said

"Euphemia- that's her name" Kai said showing the missing paper. "Man we had class together" Kai said. "I was so close to asking her out"

"That isn't important- but, that's like what? The third case this month?" Gon said.

"Yeah, I suggest we stay safe-" mei said smiling. "I'll protect you gon!" Mei said blushing.

"Guys! Gon is a guy! He can protect himself! He is strong I know for a fact" killua said smiling.

Gon nodded and smiled. "Yeah! Totally"  gon said walking away.

"What was it something I said?" Killua said running after gon.

Kai and mei looked at each other and shrugged. "Does he not-" mei started.

Kai shrugged walking away "Not our story to tell"

As the two friends walked home is silence it started raining. Gon pulled out his umbrella and killua held it for the both of them. "So- what's up? You've been a little upset recently" killua asked.

"What nothing- " gon said looking away.

"Are you sure? Its just- you have never been like this before" killua asked. Gon sighed and shaked his head.

"Im ok" gon whispered.

Killua knew something was wrong. "So- our double date is still happening right?" Killua asked.

"Yeah- of course. When?" Gon asked.

"Tonight, at the cafe" killua said. Gon didn't know it was gonna be that early!

"Um yeah! I'll see yeah later then-" gon said running into his house. He left his umbrella. Killua knew something was up now-

Killua sighed and looked down at his feet. He thought for a moment. Did he do something to upset his best friend?

Killua started walking away giving up.

It was 6:30
Gon was currently getting himself ready. He looked at himself in the mirror and sighed. He received a message in his phone.

Killua: im here

Gon got his wallet and made his was downstairs. He said bye to aunt mito and went outside. Gon got inside Killua's car and smiled. "Alright! Lets go" killua said going in reverse.

Gon nodded and looked at his phone. He scrolled through Instagram and the first thing he saw was all the post about euphemia.

Gon put his phone away once they arrived at the cafe. Gon and killua walked inside and noticed michi and akira.

They walked up to them. Gon looked at akira and remembered her.

She was the girl who-

"Hey guys!" Michi said. Waving happily "this is gonna be so much fun!"

"Hey" killua said sitting next to Michi. Gon sat next to akira.

"Hey gon! Long time to see!" Akira said excitedly. Gon nodded and faked his smile. "You look great"

"Thanks you too-" gon said

"Aw! Ship!" Michi said smiling. Gon rolled his eyes.

Killua and michi were having so much fun. They flirted and acted so close. While gon was awkward. He did have a little fun. Gon and akira were drawing on napkins and guessed each Others drawings.

Killua was happy for gon. He felt proud of himself.

After the date they all headed outside. "This was fun- we should do this again" akira said holding gon's hand. Gon smiled and nodded. He looked over at killua and saw that he kissed Michi.

Gon sighed and looked over at akira. "I think we can make it work-" akira said blushing. Gon stared at her and nodded.

"Yeah me too...." Gon whispered.

"So- can we go on a second date one day-" akira said. Gon nodded. "Okay!" Akira said excitedly. She kissed gon in the cheek and left. Gon frowned and walked away.

He didn't bother talking to killua or michi.

'I rather just walk home' Gon thought.

It has been a week since the last date. And gon had the lable boyfriend. Killua didn't. He and michi didn't work out of course

But killua didn't mind. He was happy he finally got to fulfill his promise.

Although killua noticed that gon wasn't that happy.

Gon and killua walked to class "Mr k?" Gon said taking his seat.

"Yeah. Its my nickname I guess" killua chuckled.

"Hm... That's cool" gon said laughing "those two seem interesting" gon said smiling.

"They are... But they can be really weird sometimes" killua said. Referring to kai and mei

"Cool" gon said. Gon got startled by someone touching his air.

"Hello" jasper said behind him. Gon blushed and smiled.

"Hi"  gon blushed.  Killua was confused. This looked like an actual smile-

"So you and akira-" jasper said

"Yeah.... Im so happy!" Gon said smiling.

"I am too. For you of course" jasper said.

"Thank you-" gon said smiling. Jasper smiled back and started leaving the classroom. Gon looked at him leave and smiled.

Killua looked away and stared at his book. Somethings really is off.

"Ok seriously what's wrong?" Killua asked.

"Nothing-" gon said.

"Please gon- im your best friend.... Im worried" killua said.

"Killua-"

"Please.... Or until your ready" killua whispered.

"O-okay...." Gon said giving up. "One day I'll tell you. I promise-"

Killua slowly nodded and looked back at his book. He sighed and gon frowned.

'One day he has to know...' Gon thought
