Chapter 12

"S-shit-" Kai mumbled. They ran to another exist. Luckily that was open.

They ran to the car and immediately left.

"Shouldn't we call the police" mei asked.

"They arent interested in them. Just us- killua hurry!" Kai said.

Killua drove a little faster.

Gon was in a little ball processing everything.

He almost died!

Killua arrived at kai's place
"Alright- guys lock yourself in your room. Be safe!" Kai said leaving the car with mei.

They nodded. "Your staying with me tonight-" killua mumbled.

Gon nodded.

They arrived at Killua's place. They locked every door and window.

Gon laid in Killua's bed and covered himself with the blankets. "You ok..." Killua asked crawling up to gon. "I shouldn't have left you alone... I'm sorry-" killua whispered. Gon looked up at killua

Gon touched Killua's cheek. He leaned in and kissed him. "Its not your fault-" gon whispered.

"But gon-"

"Killua. It isn't. I promise-" gon reassured. Killua nodded.

Gon wrapped his arms around killua. Killua gave little kisses on gon's neck. Gon let out a sigh of relief. Killua smiled at gon. "Are you sure your ok? Did they touch you-" killua asked.

"I'm fine... Just a little scared-" gon whispered. Killua nodded. Killua hugged gon and they ended up cuddling.

Gon felt safe in Killua's arms.

'But still... Why did they come for me' gon thought.

"So we can't tell anyone-" gon asked.

"No! Not yet..." Kai said.

"Hey Kai... What happened in the night of the football field-" gon asked.

Kai didn't say a word. He stood there is silence. He looked up at gon "i-im not ready to say" Kai said. Gon nodded.

"Oh- okay" gon said. They both headed to there class. Gon felt like eyes were all on him.  He sat in his seat and looked around the class. He felt uneasy.

"Hey" someone said. Gon jumped. It was killua. "Oh sorry-" killua said sitting next to gon.

"H-hey..." Gon said looking at his book.

"What's wrong?" Killua asked

"I feel weird... I feel like everyone is watching me" gon said. Killua looked around the room

No one was looking

"Gon- your imagining" killua said. Gon shrugged. "I get it... Your just scared. Cause of what happened yesterday-" killua said holding gon's hand. "But I'm here ok?"

Gon slightly smiled. He nodded and slowly leaned in. Killua was leaning in too. Until...

"Attention students. There will be a after school Assembly for the loss of some students. There was a tragedy last night. Three student's were killed last night.....

Gon's eyes widen. Killua was shocked. Gon's heart sinked. He was hyperventilating. Gon stood up and left the class. Killua followed behind. "Gon-"

Kai and mei were in the middle of the hallway talking.

"You liar!" Gon said walking up to Kai. "You said they were after us! And now apparently there are three people who died last night!" Gon whispered yelled.

"Hey- gon..." Killua said pulling on gon's arm.

"Why would you lie! We could've saved them!"

"Gon..." Kai whispered.

"You lied! And now people are dead!" Gon said eyes watery.

"I was trying to protect our own ass! I don't care about the others! Just us..." Kai said looking away. Gon rolled his eyes.

"Gon.... You may be upset. But- there is a good reason to it" killua said placing his hands on gon's shoulder.

"You know?" Gon asked. "How come I don't get to know! If there is a good reason to it. I should know! But you guys are keeping secrets from me!" Gon said walking away.

"Gon-" killua said about to chase after him. But Kai placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Let him go- " Kai said.

"Are you insane- I have to keep a eye on him" killua said

"Killua... We don't have time for tantrums... Come on" Kai said pulling on Killua's arm.

They made there way back to class.

Meanwhile gon was having a panic attack in a empty classroom.

'I could've saved those people...' Gon thought. He sobbed.

'If only I didn't listen to kai!'

"Gon?" Jasper said walking into the room "oh- are you ok?!" Jasper said running up to gon.

"Uh- n-no..." Gon whispered.

"What's wrong-" jasper asked.

"Stuff-" gon said calming himself down.

"Oh no, don't tell me you lost someone..." Jasper said.

"Uh- no. I didn't. I just-" gon started but stopped.

"Gon. Whatever it is- you'll be okay" jasper said. Gon smiled. Jasper hugged gon. Gon needed it. So he hugged back.

It has reached the end of the day. Gon and killua walked home in silence. "Gon" killua said stopping gon.

"Hm?" Gon said looking up at him.

"I'm sorry for hiding secrets" killua mumbled.

"Nah- its fine... Just- I just wanna know" gon said. Killua made Gon look at him.

"I have a surprise for you. Pack you bags. Were going on a little vacation" killua said.

"What? Where?" Gon asked.

"Somewhere. Just be ready" killua said Smiling.
