Chapter 10: The City of Hope

We all set the car on autopilot mode.

"Man, am I bored," Jack said.

"We all are," I said.

"How long is it going to take?" Jim asked.

"From Antarctica to UK? I have no idea," Ivy said.

Minutes passed, and Jack said, "Looks like we're in Africa."

"Which part?" Sarah asked.

"South," he replied.

"You know what, let's just speed it up," I said.

I disabled my autopilot and hit the gas. My car flew as my friends watched and did the same thing.

We flew across Africa and part of Europe. We went all the way to the place where the Shadow city is located. We landed our cars and turned them into our backpack. We were materialised into the city. We came out of the materialise station and walked towards the agency.

Once we were in the agency, Professor Victor came to greet us.

"How are you guys doing?" he asked.

"Fine, thank you. We got the Trident of Poseidon," Jim said.

"Splendid work you guys," he replied.

We walked into our room and sat down on a couch. The couch was very big, big enough to fit us.

"So, while you're gone, I did some digging," the professor said.

He put a round shaped disk on the desk. It was activated and produced a hologram.

"This hologram contains details that I have collected," he said as he pressed something on the hologram.

The hologram changed into details on what the mayor is planning.

"Professor, weren't you caught doing that?" I asked.

"Don't worry Mike, I knew what I was doing," he replied. "Now, as I was saying, the mayor has bought over a gigantic warehouse and started to build giant robots. It seems like he has been doing this for the past few years."

"Yeah, we kind of encountered some of those. Very easy," Jack said.

"I know, but that was only the beginning," he replied.

"So, you're saying that he sent us the easy robots while underestimating him," Ivy said.

"Yes. He wants us to think that he is currently weak," Victor said.

"I calculated when the Shnaks will be coming," Ryan said.

"Wait, Shnaks are coming?" Valentina asked.

"Yes, they are currently in space right now," Ryan replied.

"How come we don't know about those?" Sarah asked.

"Our parents should have known about it," Jim said.

"They did but only Ivy and I knew," I said.

"How did you know?" Iny asked.

"I read your mind," I replied.

"Oh,"

"Anyways, the Shnaks are coming because we do not have a big power to fight back," I said.

"Then let's build the power," Jack said.

I stared at him and said, "Jack, Steve is in power here and the only way to survive is to hide."

"So that's why you are building a city right now," he said.
