Chapter 13: The Decision

  We activated our cars and flew off towards one of NASA's research center. We landed outside the building once we reached there.

"Mike, this could expose us into the public," Jack said.

"I am aware of that," I replied.

"Then we'll avoid as much people as we can," Sarah said.

"Honestly, it is almost impossible to past through many people without them noticing us," Jim said.

"Unless, I carry you guys with me while I run at lightning speed," I said.

"Hmmm, yes but won't the lightning trail appear as you run?" Ivy asked.

"I have an idea," I said as I touched the bottom of my wrist. My holographic phone came out and I called Ryan.

"Hello, Mike," he said through the phone.

"Hey, can you hack the research centre near us?" I asked.

"You mean the one of the NASA research centre?" he said as he opened a map of our location.

"Yeah," I replied.

He grinned, "Sure, I've been waiting to do this for a long time."

"Weird that you would say that," Jim said.

"Oh, I have been doing research and suddenly grew the curiosity," Ryan replied.

"Well, at least you hack into it," I said.

"What do you want me to do?" he asked.

"Can you make a blackout through the whole building?" I said.

"Sure, about 1 minute after the blackout, I have to open the lights," he replied typing on the keyboard.

"That's more than enough," I said.

"I trust you, Mike. I don't know what you're going to do but I know it will work," Victor came in.

"Professor!" Valentina said.

"Don't worry, I won't stop you. I understand the situation. At least, I tried doing the same thing with Alex Jackson," he said.

"I figured that happened," I said.

"Not surprised for his son to figure it out," he chuckled.

"I am in the system," Ryan said.

"Anyways, good luck fellas," the professor said.

"You guys ready?" I asked.

They reached out and held each others' hand.

"Ready," Jack said.

"Initiating the blackout...........now," Ryan said as he pressed the enter button. Immediately, the whole building was dark. We could see the darkness from the inside.

"Wait, hold up. Aren't they going to notice the lightning flashing in there?" Ivy asked.

"You'll see. You guys really underestimate the Voids," I said.

I ran, pulling my friends. I concentrated and lightning flowed through my body. The lightning changed to blackas I was concentrating, because the elementals are able to know its surroundings when the Voids concentrate. When the lightning noticed that the surroundings are mostly dark, it changed to black. We swiftly ran all the way towards the control room. About 5 seconds, we were there. A few seconds later, the lights were back. We saw a bunch of people standing still. Once they regained their sight of view and saw us, they freaked out.
