The Hunt of the Shadows Book 3:The Lost Trident

Chapter 2 :Guam

We activated our cars and flew off to Guam.

"Why are we going to Guam?" asked Jack.

"It is the nearest place towards the trench," I replied.

"Can't we just dive in?" asked Jim.

"No, I need to do adjustments on your armor or else you get crushed by water pressure," I said.

"Okay," Jack replied.

A few minutes later, we reached Guam. Guam is a U.S territory which is quite near towards the trench. I have watched videos about the trench, and it is quite scary. If the trident really is there, we need to retrieve it before someone does.

We landed and got down from our car and let it transform back to a backpack. Guam has mostly towns full of people. This environment made this island green and fresh. The grass was rustling because the wind here is very different from the cities.

"So, what kind of adjustments are you going to do?" asked Sarah.

"Upgrading your diving suits," I replied.

"Wait, we all have a diving suit?" asked Jim.

"Well, yeah or else when you fall in the water, you will drown," I said.

"Guys, let's give him space to do the adjustments," said Ivy.

"Thank you, Ivy," I said.

My nanobots scrambled onto the ground and formed a workplace with bunch of tools. I started working. I pressed a button in every of the armors and they become diving suits. I looked at my hand and typed the adjustments I need to make in the suit. After that, I put my hands onto the suits and the nanobots went in and made the adjustments. The diving suits morphed and became a brand-new diving suit. The helmet has a T-shaped glass which can survive the water pressure. The suit is made of soft dracyo carbon colored in black.

"Here are your brand-new diving suits," I said.

They took it and it turned back to their normal armor and morphed with them.

"Cool, what did you do?" asked Jack.

"I changed your diving suits to dracyo carbon to make it even lighter," I said.

"Hang on. We've got uninvited guest," said Ivy.

"Man, does Steve ever get sick of all his failed attempts to steal the ancient weapons," asked Jack.

"No, this time he is going to knock us out and take the trident with his newly upgraded robots," I said.

"Well then, lets test it," said Valentina as she raised her hand and a light shone. A moment later, Apollo's bow was in her hands.

"Man, what style is that when I can do this," Jack said as thunder rumbled.

He thrusted his hand towards his left side and the lightning went to his hand. After that, Zeus' lightning bolt was in his hands.

Valentina shot arrows at the robots while Jack just threw his lightning bolt that triggered the sky and produced lightning that electrocuted the robots. However, the robots remained undamaged.

"What are these robots made off?" asked Jim.

"There are immune to the ancient weapons," I said.

"Well, what now?" asked Ivy.

"We use our new weapons," I said as I summoned my sword.

My teammates did the same. The robots flew towards us fast, but Sarah was faster. She threw her axe towards the robots and the dracyonium energy was released destroying the robots. The axe flew back to her.

"Whoa, since when can you do that?" Jack asked.

"Since I got the weapon," she said.

Just then, two robots flew towards them, but I ran as fast as I could and sliced the robots.

"Since when did you come out, Mike?" asked Jack.

"Since you were caught off guard," I said.

"Great, just great," he said and went back fighting.

Ivy just shot the sky and the ice split and cut the robots. Man, she's good. Well, the robots main target was me. They all keep coming after me one after another. I just slice and the other one was like almost got my head. I sliced the robots around me with a 360 degrees spin.

"Guys, a little help here," I shouted.

They got my message and sliced the robots but there were just too many. My nanobots on my hand formed a cannon. I fired plasma balls. At last, I got sick of them again and struck my sword on the ground. I release the dracyonium energy and the all the robots exploded. Finally, it is over.

Just then, I saw bubbles bubbling in on the water. I switched to my night vision glasses and look at it. I was able to see it clearly because I was not using green light to see but using a newly made glasses to let me see night as day. I saw a Shnak. Weird right? When I think back to my childhood and realized that this Shnak is ancient. Why are they ancient? Let me tell you this. They exist because they were the first Shnaks that came to earth a million years ago. They adapted to the environment. A million years later, the environment changed, and they can't adapt to the new environment. So, they decided to live in the sea to live. Now, here they are as a gigantic sea snake but if they are here, which means Steve knew that they were in the seas and told them to search for the trident. They knew that they must follow me to lead them to the trident. Oh no, we must get there now.

"Guys, let's get into the water now!" I shouted at them.

"Dude, are you crazy?" asked Jack.

"No, he is not," said Valentina.

I activated my diving suit and jumped down into the water activating my night vision and I saw nine more Shnaks. Just then, my friends were in the water too. Their night vision was also activated at the same time when they went into the water.

"Why are there gigantic sea snakes in the sea?" asked Sarah.

"That's because they are Shnaks from the ancients," Ivy said.

"Let's kick their butts," Jack said as he summoned his wrecking ball and flew forward with the jet pods on his back. The others also have that including me. We did the same and flew forward.
