★The disease affects one in 1 million people worldwide, it is most common in Japan the Middle East and Africa.
★One of the most frequent defects in XP is an autosomal recessive genetic defect in which nucleotide excision repair ner enzymes are mutated, leading to a reduction in elimination of ner.

(ZEER-oh-DER-ma pig-menTOH-sum)★This book has been written to raise awareness of the disease Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP).
It is a very rare but also very dangerous disease, and just because it is very rare, it does not mean it is less important than other diseases.★Midnight Rays, inspired by Midnight Sun, the 2018 film starring Katie Price played by Bella Thorne. I have never heard of the disease XP and when I watch the movie Midnight Sun I decided to write a book on Wattpad to raise awareness of the rare but dangerous disease.
Disclaimer:
Midnight Rays is a work of fiction that has not been copied or plagiarized and has been written with no other intention but to raise awareness of XP. (And to provide an interesting novel for my readers to sit with and enjoy)
My hopes for Midnight Rays:
Hopefully this book will help open the eyes of those unaware of XP and will support those who suffer from it wherever they may be. Please, if you or anyone you know has the disease Xeroderma Pigmentosum, let them know they are not alone in their battle. Support them, encourage them and do whatever you can to help them in their battle against XP.
And now without further delay, I would like to deliver to you my readers, Midnight Rays.
