OC X Malcolm

Angst

* * * *

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young girl, one who was the daughter of a rich lord. She didn't want for anything, except for the love of her father. The girl's mother died during child birth, leaving her father to rai se her, only he couldn't. The Lord hired a maid to look after the girl, training her how to be prim and proper.

The girl was beautiful, looking exactly like her mother, apart from her dark eyes, which she inherited from her father.

Rosetta would often walk around the village, despite her father's warnings. She didn't listen to him. It was there she met a young boy. The boy was kind to her, even offering her some of his bread, though she kindly refused his offer.

Every day Rosetta would meet the boy and the two would talk. They had fallen in love with each other.

The day Rosetta was fourteen she was given the news she dreaded. She was going to be married, to a man she had never met. She ran to the boy she loved. The two decided to run away, leave the village and they never returned.

They were unable to find a village, so made a shelter. Rosetta hunted, while Malcolm would get supplies, including wood, and any materials he could find. Unknowingly to Rosetta, he would sneak into a near by village and steal from people.

Rosetta made Malcolm happy, as he did her.

The two decided to move to the nearby village, much to Malcolm's displeasure. He could never say no to Rosetta, the woman he loved.

After only a few months, Rosetta fell pregnant. Malcolm began to do every job he could to support the woman he loved, whether it be cleaning stables, or using his strength to help carry things.

Rosetta gave birth to a beautiful son, calling him Rumpelstiltskin. Malcolm wanted to argue with the woman over the name, yet he couldn't.

It was when Rumpelstiltskin, or Rumpy, as Rosetta called him, was two, when the tragedy occurred. Rosetta became ill. Malcolm tried to help her, yet there was nothing that could be done. She died.

"How did Malcolm cope?" Henry asked the man in front of him. "He didn't. He changed into a man who cared for nobody but himself. He became selfish, leaving his child as he became forever young, roaming the world with another name. Peter Pan," Mr Gold told the boy.

"How do you know this? Did you make it up?" Henry questioned. Mr Gold never wanted to tell the boy the story, though who better to tell than a boy who would never know the truth.

He had lost his father, the same day his mother died.
