Molly reentered the building and sat down. Loki smiled slightly at the flower crown. She looked like a small child as she examined her red hair loathingly.
"Something wrong with your hair?" Natasha asked
"No. I just hate it." She mumbled
Peter hopped up on the counter beside Tony and watched the girl.
"What did you do?" Tony asked Peter in a whisper
"Showed her constellations." He shrugged.
Thor smiled.
"Is mother bright tonight?" He asked quietly
"Very." Peter replied.
Loki walked across the room and kneeled beside her.
"I know I have no right to walk in to your life after so long." He said in a voice Thor had never heard "But, I would like the chance to know you. And protect you, like I should have been doing all along."
He reached to cradle her face and she flinched. He pulled his hand back for a moment before returning to his action, placing a gentle palm on her cheek.
"I will never hurt you. I promise, princessa."
She rested her face against his hand.
"I do however, have something to handle." He whispered "I'll be back by morning. I promise."
He slipped his hand away and kissed the top of her head.
"Mr. Barnes. Please, join me." He said, gliding towards the door.
