Genesis,
"I swear you could shop in the little kids section with what you wear." Giana says while shaking her head as I walk downstairs fully clothed with my suitcase.
I scoff and push my suitcase into the foyer. Chris and I were leaving for Virginia today since his trial starts in two days. He's been stressfully preparing for it and with Christmas passing he just wanted to spend quality time with family. He did of course and gave me a necklace with our date in roman numerals which I love and cherish so much. As for what I gave him, well you can't get somebody rich who can buy whatever he wants too much. But I was able to give him this really dope cartoon painting that he actually loved more than I anticipated.
"Shut up. I don't feel like wearing anything tight, these cramps been beating my ass."
"You got everything?" Chris asks as him and Mijo loaded up the car.
"Yeah that's my last bag right there." I nodded towards my suitcase.
We weren't a hundred percent sure how long we would be in VA but because of such, Giana has to stay in LA with school starting next week. Thankfully Sevyn agreed to look after her with the help of Logan every now and then when Giana hormones get too much. She just reached eight weeks and acts like she's eight months.
"Chris' new song is still trending number one." Giana points out while scrolling on her phone.
Once media got hold of Chris going to court for possible homicide case of a 20 year old white girl people went ballistic. Without knowing the full situation people wanted him thrown under the jail so Chris recorded and released single Don't Judge Me. Even though he physically did not touch that girl he is considered an accomplice. Chris would never throw his friend under the bus like that to the media so he simply released a song hoping it was enough.
Now more people believe this trial is a publicity stunt than anything.
"That's good." I half smile. "He worked hard on that song so he deserves it."
"Yeah..." She mumbles while locking her phone. "He's like this generation Michael Jackson."
I chuckle. "Oh lord don't let him hear you say that."
"Say what?" Chris approaches us from behind as me and Giana laughs.
"Nothing." We both respond.
Chris purse his lips and wrap him arms around both of our shoulders pulling us in closer to him.
"Well I hate to split up this sisterly moment but we gotta get going the Jet has a schedule to keep."
Giana frowns. "So we will be spending New Years without each other huh?"
I sigh. "I know, I hate it but I don't want you traveling back and forth right before school starting."
"We can always facetime the count down together." Chris grins to lighten up the mood but his smile never reaches his eyes.
