Chapter 3- Healing

This chapter includes Sakura x Naruto!
Sorry to people who doesn't ship them. I honestly don't ship them either but Sakura was the only one single apart from Choji but he has Karui. Please don't be mad at me for this if you don't ship them. As I said before I don't ship them either but she was the only single one.

"Wait, isn't Sakura still single?" asked Shikamaru.

They all turned to Sakura.

"Uh....I......I am still single." answered Sakura.

"I got an idea then! Why don't you go ask Naruto out and make him happy?" suggested Ino.

"That's a good idea!" said Kiba.

"So are you willing to help Sakura?" asked Shikamaru.

"Well yeah.....I've actually had a crush on him for a little while now. I started to develop a crush on him." replied Sakura blushing.

"That's great! Go get 'im girl!" said Ino pushing Sakura.

"O-oh uh alright. B-but, do you think it's a good idea? He just lost his lover and I'm a little afraid." said Sakura.

"You're a healer aren't you Sakura? You learnt healing from Hokage-sama didn't you?"a sked Ino.

"Well yeah. Why?" asked Sakura.

"Then answer me this, have you ever been hesitant to heal someone especially if their special to you like for example, your family or someone that's close to you or a random person that works hard for this very village we live in?" asked Ino.

"No of course not. It's my job as a healer to heal them. Especially my family, I wouldn't want to loose them." answered Sakura.

"Ok then, have you ever heard of 'Wounds will heal in time'?" asked Ino.

"Yeah I have. It's quite a common saying." answered Sakura.

"Hm, then Sakura. You developed feelings for Naruto. He's special to you so you would want to heal his sadness. Go make him feel loved again. Heal his wounds and empty, dull eyes!" said Ino.

Sakura's eyes widened and sparkled, her mouth formed a smile and her face showed realization in what her friend meant. The others at the back smiled.

"Ino. Y-You're absolutely right. I shouldn't be hesitant about this. Then, as a healer, I'll heal his wounds. Thanks for helping me. Hope you and Sai will be happy together forever!" said Sakura happily running towards the direction where Naruto went waving bye to her friends.

With Naruto*

Naruto is currently in the forest sitting beneath a tree int he shade. His eyes still dull still empty and staring at nothing still day dreaming. Naruto did not notice someone approach him, he did not notice they were on a branch on the tree he was sitting under. They jumped down then.....

"NARUTO WATCH OUT! SHANAROOOOOO!!!" shouted a voice.

It belonged to a pink haired kunoichi, Haruno Sakura his teammate. Naruto snapped back to reality and realized that above him jumping down from the branch was a male with brown hair and black eyes wearing a black cloak with red clouds. The male with brown hair smirked ready to attack Naruto not caring about Sakura. Naruto who just snapped back to reality couldn't react. Then, he was saved when a fist was slammed against the attacker's stomach knocking him back and making him spit blood out of his mouth. The attacker wiped the blood off his face and said,

"I'll be back for the 4th Hokage's legacy. No we will, watch out Kyuubi container. The Akatsuki will come for you." said the male with brown hair leaving.

Naruto just stared at the male with widened eyes, 'He was coming for me....How did he know I was Kura's container as well?'  thought Naruto. Sakura who didn't care if the male was getting away ran to Naruto and knelt down in front of him since he sitting down to check if he was ok. She flashed him a smile seeing he wasn't hurt anywhere which made him smile back as well, a sincere one as well and not a fake one. 

"Thank goodness you're ok Naruto." said Sakura.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for saving me." thanked Naruto.

"No problem. You want to chat and stuff?" asked Sakura.

"Uh, sure." replied Naruto.

Sakura sat down next to Naruto and looked at him.

"What should we talk about?" asked Naruto.

"Hm, I don't know. Actually, can I ask some questions Naruto?" asked Sakura.

"Sure." replied Naruto.

"Ok then, how have you been? After, 'you know what happened', you seem different. Like for example, your dull eyes, you haven't really been smiling and you always seem so down." said Sakura.

"Well firstly, I'm pretty sure I just smiled. And, I guess I've been feeling better after what happened. It's just that, I honestly don't know what to do anymore. He was so important to me. He was the only one I've ever loved. Well, not like I don't love you guys aka my other friends but, I meant it as in lovers." answered Naruto.

"I get what you mean Naruto, plus, I know you wouldn't hate us, or, at least not them. Answer me this honestly Naruto, do you......hate me? In the past I've treated you really badly so, do you hate me?" asked Sakura looking down afraid to make eye contact with Naruto.

Naruto put a hand on Sakura's shoulder making her look at him.

"No, I don't hate you Sakura. You know how I use to have a crush on you?" asked Naruto.

"Yeah?" said Sakura.

"I honestly still have a little crush on you." answered Naruto.

Sakura smiled a smile eyes closed which looked really happy even though her eyes were closed.

"Thanks goodness, I thought you would hate me. The truth is, I started to develop feelings for you Naruto. I would hate to hear that my crush hates me(even though Sasuke has already said that a lot when she use to have a crush on him)." said Sakura.

"You...do?" asked Naruto looking at Sakura in the eyes with his eyes widened.

"Mhm. Plus, I'm a healer and it doesn't seem like time is really healing your wounds." said Sakura standing up.

"Yeah, honestly it isn't but, what does you being a healer have to do with it?" asked Naruto.

"I'm a healer so it's my job to heal people. Especially the ones special to me, I don't want to loose them. So I, Haruno Sakura, will help you heal your wounds Uzumaki-Namikaze Naruto." declared Sakura extending an arm out in front of Naruto who's still sitting on the ground.

Naruto smiled with his eyes closed then he opened them again taking Sakura's hand.

"Then thanks Haruno Sakura. Looks like this time I'm not the one helping someone." said Naruto standing up.

"Nope, this time it's your turn to be helped." said Sakura.

The both of them smiled, Naruto's eyes shined a bit. 'Looks like his eyes are slowly healing already. He smiled a few times as well. But it's not enough, I will heal his wounds created by Sasuke fully.'  thought Sakura with determination.
