Lost and Found

Poe's POV

She pulled me into her and pretended to kiss me. I was shocked until I went along. There was no passion, no love, nothing. Like I said to Finn, everything that she might had felt for me died when I walked out of that room. May I be acting right now that I am still angry at her? Yes, I am but when I had her that close to me, chest to chest, I had never been happier. Hux walked past us disgusted. "Sorry," Natalie murmured as she looked down. "I understand," I said softly. "Let's get out of here." She nodded in agreement as we met Finn and Rose at the exit. 

Getting inside my room I slammed my fist on the closed door. She didn't feel anything for me. I knew this but I still felt strongly for her. Why? Why was the Best Pilot in the Resistance falling head-over-heels for this one girl? There were others back at the base that I could love. But none of them I want to spend my life with, I want to be by Natalie's side her entire life. I leaned my head against the wall connecting our rooms. Natalie was crying again, her soft sobs soon fading as she fell asleep. I decided I had to sleep as well. 

Lea needed us to stay here for another day, and I wasn't looking forward to staying here with all this drama until I heard Natalie's sobs form into words. "I love him." She whispered to herself. "But he doesn't feel the same. H-he thinks I-I'm a traitor." She sniffed. Her sobs increased and I  got ready for bed, mentally hitting myself for causing her to feel this way. As I closed my eyes I wished that I would be able to explain my actions to her.

Natalie's POV

It was early in the morning, about five or so, and I decided to get dressed and leave before anyone questions me. Throwing on black pants and boots, with a tight black long-sleeve turtleneck I strapped my blasters on my hip and my knife on my pant leg. Stopping at Poe's door before leaving, I placed my hand on it, half of me hoping he opened it, pulling me in a hug, insisting he would come with me, the other half ready to leave this mess of emotions behind. So I left and didn't look back as Ben's ship, the Finalizer, loomed above me. 

There was no trouble getting in at all. I knew secret ways in and out, that's how I was able to sneak in and out without Ben realizing when I used to live under his rule. I seriously don't miss that.  I was walking down the confiscated Items hall when I felt it. His looming darkness surging inside me, the death washing over me in waves. But that one hint of love and compassion that he so tightly held onto that kept him human. If he lost that, he would finally become the monster he ever so wanted to be. 

"Spread out. Supreme leader Knows she is here." A stormtrooper commanded. Quickly I ducked into a dark hallway, and pressed myself up against the wall, praying that they didn't see me. Thankfully they walked right by. "I know you're here." a too calm of a voice said. Turning where there used to be a wall behind me was my brother. "The resistance has turned you against me. Why? Do you seek a higher role in the First Order? The highest you can get is the General. You don't have the force." I said nothing. "Oh well, I will find you, and because I still love you it makes me weak to do anything. Your fiance, Hux, will get all the information on the resistance we need from you, and then you will have the choice to be killed, or join the First Order in your original position again." 

He faded away and then it hit me. I wouldn't have a choice. Hux was going to kill me no matter what. Quickly I grabbed my com back to the Falcon. 

POES POV

I woke up from Finn nearly crashing in my door. "Yo man what the hell?" I shouted. "Its Natalie." He panted. "We need to get in the cockpit now." "What do you mean its Natalie." I asked, jumping up and throwing on pants before sprinting out the door with Finn. "She's gone. No note, nothing." Rose, Chewie, and Beaumont were already there. "This is your fault." Rose growled. "Alright, there is no time for pointing fingers. We need to find her now, before someone else does." "Well, where would she go?" Beaumont asked. Pulling out a map we studied all locations she would possibly go on the desert planet when there was an incoming transition.
