MIYA ATSUMU WAS INCREDIBLY PROUD OF HIMSELF. he, who had won the best setter award in the interhigh tournament after inarizaki came out as the second best team in the nation after losing to itachiyama in the finals, was chosen to go to tokyo to participate in the all-japan training camp with the nation's best. even better, osamu wasn't invited and he was. it was his second year in a row, but this time, the ones chosen would be representatives in the under-19 team in a couple of years. it was a very big deal.

"good job getting picked for the all-japan youth camp, 'tsumu," osamu congratulated his twin.

"be more frustrated, 'samu!" atsumu complained, his competitive streak acting up again.

"i am, dumbass," osamu said. "i'm pretty sure i am. but, i think they just wanted to pick someone who's a bit crazy."

"what?!" atsumu roared, immediately falling for osamu's rouse.

"our skill is equal," osamu explained.

"no, i'm better than you!" atsumu insisted.

"hear me out, damn it."

suna, ginjima, and momoka watched them from the outside of the gym, where everyone else was heading back home after weekend practice. for them, the five of them had made plans to go to momo's farm and eat her older brother haru's famous peach pies. he and momoka's mom had started to make peach pies to bring to tokyo in great quantities, so naturally, the boys wanted to come eat too. (the shirofuku family was quite big.)

the shirofukus were all gathering in tokyo for a week because the head of their family, momoka's grandmother, had fallen ill. so, momoka was going to head up to tokyo with her family and meet with her cousin yukie.

"what kinda logic is that?" ginjima asked out loud, hearing the twins argue.

"isn't osamu just egging on atsumu on purpose?" suna pointed out.

"it's usually atsumu doing that, so good for him," momo said, flipping through her notes. "wow, saburo-kun is gonna be so grateful i always take good notes."

suna peered over her shoulder, looking away from his phone to stare at her clipboard. "would feneku even be able to read your handwriting, momo?"

momoka scowled up at the taller boy, shifting her weight to slam her body into his, though it didn't really make too much of a difference. suna was really well-balanced. she supposed it came from his prowess in volleyball, but it didn't make her dislike it any less. (except in games. then, she was ecstatic.)

"heard my name," feneku saburo, momoka's co-manager who handled everything with the second string players, the inarizaki cheer squad, and the inarizaki band. (he was a busy man, but he was happy to drop everything to manage the first string... mostly because the second string players gave him a hard time... which was mostly about him being friends with momoka.)

"can you read this?" momoka asked him, handing him the clipboard.

"sure, momo. this says..." the sandy-haired boy stared at the notes. "it says, uh, receives right there... oh, and it says suna sucks right here."

"it does not," suna shook his head, refusing to believe it.

"it's the most legible thing on the page," ginjima confirmed after reading it.
