𝗦𝗘𝗜𝗝𝗢𝗛 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗪𝗢

THERE WERE SOME PARTS OF THEIR FRIENDSHIP THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE. namely, the part where iwaizumi hajime and chibana kasumi would quite obviously be affectionate to each other without oikawa tooru noticing. whether the star setter was too self-absorbed to notice or that he was too preoccupied in other matters, he was probably the last to find out that his best friends were dating each other. 

there were many times where they were sure they had been caught by oikawa, but somehow, it never came down to that.

on mondays, oikawa tooru spent his time after classes coaching the little aoba volleyball team that his nephew takeru played for. this meant that iwaizumi and kasumi spent their mondays going on dates. it was a nice way to make sure no one third wheeled. they weren't even dating — kasumi said she would go out with iwaizumi if they won the semifinals qualifiers for the interhigh that year. (she didn't want to lose against karasuno.) 

"should we watch a movie?" kasumi wondered aloud, leaning against iwaizumi. 

they were sitting together on his couch. since he didn't have any siblings, it was easier to cuddle on the couch together without interruptions. at kasumi's house, her little brother taro would probably ask iwaizumi to play video games with him and her older sister akari would probably ask her to run to the store again. it was definitely calmer in the iwaizumi household, where the only interruptions would be from his golden retriever who was sleeping near the foot of the couch. 

"what kind of movie?" iwaizumi asked, adjusting the arm that was around her. 

"anything is fine," kasumi smiled. "we just need to have some background noise, anyways." 

"i think star wars is still in there," replied iwaizumi, turning on the tv. episode IV of star wars began playing in the middle of the movie, right where it had been paused from the last time they hung out. 

it had not been long after they turned on the movie that the two of them began to flirt audaciously with the occasional innocent kissing in-between. 

the door flung open. 

"are you guys really watching star wars without me?" 

chibana kasumi and iwaizumi hajime quickly pulled away from each other, nonchalantly pretending like they hadn't been kissing just moments before. kasumi leaned over to pause the movie. 

"done with coaching already?" she asked. 

"should we rewind?" iwaizumi also asked. 

"nah, let's watch from here," oikawa said, walking over to sit on the other side of kasumi. the two of them scooted over to give oikawa enough room to sit. "oh hey, i'm just in time for the light saber fight against ben and darth vader." 

"yay," kasumi cheered, trying not to laugh. her and iwaizumi shared a look with each other before watching the movie without any further actions to each other.

the next monday after that, iwaizumi and kasumi thought it would be better to walk around the park together. the weather was nice and the the sun was shining. they held hands as they walked together along the sidewalk. (you could say that they were pretty affectionate to do casually do PDA outdoors.)
