🎆Chapter Four🎆

I was sitting on one of the chairs in the bar area, sitting on my water, and throwing my trash in the paper bag. I'm on my lunch break, alrighty feeling bored so I'm scrolling through my phone. It's the only we can do. After all, we can't be dancing around or talking to random customers because we have a script policy. If there's a family member or a friend, my boss has no problem with it.

it's the only thing I can do because Brennen is busy as well because he's working. Even though he's very wealthy but he decided to work because he feels like he's bored. Earn some money for paying bills for the penthouse because the bills are not cheap. Brennen told his parents about 2 years ago that he doesn't want to spend any more of their money because he's a grown adult and he can do it on his own.

Brennen and his family are multiple billionaires, I think Kevin is many millionaires but I'm not so sure. After he asked his parents about cutting him off, he talked to me concerned that he wants to buy a special cruise ship and remodel a few places to turn it into a Casino/Hotel for ages 21 and over. So, the adults can have their own thing to do for doing an adult thing. Gambling and Drink alcohol.

Brennen doesn't want to travel full-time because he doesn't want to leave Jake. And Jake started loving here in Mami because we just got here. Brennen told me that he found a solution that he can travel at least once a month for a week to see how is the place running; for the rest, the manager did the rest.

Right now, my best friend offered me if I want to take a job as a bartender for his Casino, and pays me very well. But I appreciate it but decline because it will felt very weird that my best friend became my boss and pays me. But I told him that I'm happy working at the restaurant and I want to make my own money. But he understands it which is no hard feelings.

Him and Jake live in the penthouse in the plaza hotel which is ridiculously expensive. Brennen let me live with them ever since we got here until I get on my feet. It's only for a year until I can find a job that pays the right amount of money. I told them that I have a great place to stay because I want to give them some privacy. I appreciate it when they let me in but I can't stay with them forever because I want to be independent.

My finger suddenly is hovering over Sam's number. Remembering what he said that I don't have to wait for him the whole year. It's been a week since the last time we spoke and hang out for the New Year. I haven't been contacted with Sam because I'm extremely busy with work, work, and... work.

I put it on my ear once I hit the call button, and decided to see what's he doing tonight. I looked around at some people who hung out talking and sipping their drinks. I glance down at a table as I'm waiting for him to pick up the phone and I don't know if he's busy or not. After the 3rd beep hits and suddenly...

"Hello?"

"Hey, Sam." I signed relief when he picked up the phone or else he would miss the call. I looked over and saw Amber sit down in from of me as she took out a sandwich from her bag.

"Who is this?"

"It's Colby. You kissed me once a year." I chuckled as I joked. Amber looked at me with her as her eyebrow left up.

"Hey, Colby!! Thought I wouldn't hear from you till next New Year, handsome." Sam giggled. "What'd I do to deserve a call so soon?"

I was laughing because I noticed that he alrighty has a strong and sassy personality. Even though I just met him but it feels like ages since I know everything about him. I was just kinda delighted when he suggested to me that I can talk to him whenever not once a year. "Just wondering how are you doing lately? Do your roommates freak out when you were out so late?"

"Surprisingly no. But they can be kinda overprotective of me since I'm the youngest out of 3 of us." Sam chuckled. "So, how's work?"

"Extremely busy. It was fully packed because A huge amount of people ordered a couple of drinks, danced around, and fully blacked-out drunk. But I was surprised that I survived." I said when I stole some chips from Amber as she almost smacked my hand. I smirk at her because she always hates when I always steal her food.
