Kara walked briskly through the dimly lit alleyways of the Isle, her thoughts consumed by the deal she had made with Hades. Frustration gnawed at her as she contemplated the riddle and the promise she had unwittingly made. The riddle seemed cryptic and unhelpful, and the weight of her agreement with Hades felt like a heavy burden.
As she turned a corner, her gaze fell upon a familiar figure. He was clad in black pants and a grey shirt, heavily tattered and worn. A red pirate coat draped over his shoulders, and a pirate hat sat atop his head. His muscular arms were bare, and a sword was strapped across his chest, while a hook dangled from his hand.
Harry, the first mate of Uma's crew, turned at the sound of Kara's voice. A grin spread across his face as he recognized her. "Well, well, well," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. "What a nice surprise."
Kara raised an eyebrow, her expression neutral. "Hey, Harry."
He took a few steps towards her, his eyes scanning her from head to toe. "Just wait until Uma hears you're back. She's never gonna give you back your old territory," he taunted.
Kara remained unfazed. "Oh. Well, that's okay. Because that's not what I'm here to do."
Harry's grin widened, and he moved his hook closer to her face. The cold metal brushed against her neck, sending a shiver down her spine. "I could hurt you," he said, a dangerous edge to his voice.
Kara quickly grabbed his wrist, her grip firm and unyielding. "Not without her permission, I bet," she retorted.
Harry's smirk faltered slightly, and he withdrew his hook, eyeing her with a mixture of curiosity and challenge. The tension between them crackled as they stood in the narrow alley, each silently assessing the other's next move.
Kara and Harry stared at each other for a moment before breaking into laughter. "It's good to see you, Harry," Kara said, her smile genuine.
"It's good seeing you too, Gen," Harry replied, using her middle name, a name he was the only one to call her by. His eyes held a hint of nostalgia.
Kara released his wrist. "So, how are you doing?"
"As bad as ever," Harry answered with a shrug.
Kara felt a pang of nostalgia. She had missed their secret meetups and their camaraderie. "Are you mad?" she asked.
"What, that you left me here with nothing while you got to go there?" Harry asked sarcastically.
Kara playfully slapped him on the shoulder. "I managed," he said with a laugh.
"So, what brings you back here?" Harry inquired.
"Just looking for some information," Kara said.
"You still looking?" Harry asked.
"Yes, and I actually found out who my mother is," Kara replied.
Harry's interest piqued. "Really? Who is it?"
"It's Agathe," Kara said.
Harry's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "The enchantress who curses the beast?"
"Yes," Kara confirmed. "I compared her to the picture."
Harry frowned. "What?"
"Well, that would mean that your father, a villain, married your mother, a good guy," Harry said.
Kara's face fell as she considered this. "I... I hadn't really thought about that."
"How did your father say they came together again?" Harry asked.
