Everyone, including Kara, gasps as Jane, with a determined grip on the wand, points it at the ceiling. Mal's plan had worked better than anyone could have anticipated—Jane was now under her control. A blast erupts from the wand, shooting out of the building towards the Isle, seemingly aimed at breaking the barrier. The crowd takes several steps back, stunned and fearful.
"Child, what are you doing?" Fairy Godmother calls out, cautiously advancing but keeping her distance. The blast from the wand ceases, and Jane shouts defiantly, "If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself!" She starts swinging the wand erratically, trying to control its unpredictable power. Sparks fly out in all directions, and chaos ensues.
Ben rushes to Kara's side, standing protectively in front of her. "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!" Jane yells, spinning in a circle. The scene turns frantic as Adam yells, "Take cover!" Everyone steps back, and Kara, determined to help, moves around Ben towards Jane.
As Kara reaches Jane, she places one hand on the wand. A strange, overwhelming feeling courses through her. It's as if the magical surge from the night at the museum is intensifying, flowing through her veins, making her heart race. Images flash before her eyes—brief glimpses of her parents, moments of joy and togetherness before they vanish in a blur. The powerful energy from the wand connects with her emotions, amplifying the turmoil and decision weighing on her.
With a swift push, Kara shoves Jane aside. Jane stumbles back, her grip on the wand loosening. Kara seizes the opportunity, grabbing the wand firmly as the erratic sparks cease. The wand comes under her control, no longer thrashing about uncontrollably.
Jane, shocked and disoriented, stares at Kara in disbelief. The crowd watches in tense silence as Ben steps forward, his face a mixture of concern and urgency. "Kara, give me the wand," he commands.
"Stand back," Kara insists, her voice filled with resolve. The sound of hurried footsteps and familiar voices signals the arrival of her friends. "It's okay," Ben tries to reassure her, but Kara's resolve remains firm. Ben cocks his head at her as he looks into her eyes, his eyebrows furrowed. Kara looks at her friends and sees that they have the same expression on their faces. Kara's mouth forms a question, but she gets interrupted before she can ask it.
"I told you so!" Audrey says as she steps forward. Kara, turning towards Audrey, watches her recoil in fear. She turns back to Ben, sensing the determination and urgency in his eyes.
"Let's go!" Carlos shouts, the tension palpable. "Revenge time," Jay adds, their voices laced with a mix of urgency and resolve.
"Do you really want to do this?" Ben asks, his tone imploring. Kara's heart races as she weighs her options. "We have no choice, Ben! Their parents—" she starts, but Ben interrupts, "They made their choice."
Kara's gaze shifts to Ben, then to Adam, Belle, and Fairy Godmother. The weight of her father's legacy bears down on her, but she realizes she doesn't have to follow in his footsteps. She doesn't have to choose evil.
"I think I want to be good," Kara says, her voice trembling with emotion. "You are good," Ben replies warmly. "How do you know that?" Kara challenges, her voice rising.
"Because... Because I'm listening to my heart," Ben says softly.
Kara looks down at the wand, struggling with her feelings. "I want to listen to my heart, too," she says. She meets Ben's eyes, finding comfort in his supportive gaze. "And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents."
A tear rolls down Kara's cheek as she continues, "I mean, tormenting the Isle to impress your mother doesn't make you happy." She glances at Mal, who smiles and blushes. "Going to art class and hanging out with Connor does."
