Goddess of Ice, Alyja has always dreamed of the day she find her mate, but what happens when everything she had hoped for is the complete opposite?

Requested by her mate's mother to aid her during illness, Alyja being the kind she-wolf she is can't reject the request. However, a lot of things start to make no sense, secrets among secrets start to pop, and alpha Luka running off every night before midnight starts to tempt her curiosity. Once she starts peeking through doors she shouldn't. What secrets will unfold?

"I hate you!"

"I hate you too!," he spat throwing the glass of liquor against the wall. Shattered glass spilled all over the wooden floor.

I flinch from the sudden act I wasn't at all expecting from an alpha. Alphas are suppose to be mature, well behaved, and protective of their empire. Instead this alpha is the opposite of all these traits.

"Why would the moon pair me up with someone like you? You're so mean," I mumble holding back my tears.

"I suggest you go run to alpha Edon because I don't want you as my mate and never will!"

With that said, alpha Luka turns his heel furiously exiting out of the room slamming the door shut leaving me frozen to the spot unable to speak as I process what he just said. Out of all the mean remarks he's thrown at me before. This one right here stabbed my fragile heart.

What did I do to deserve such a mate like him?
