Luz is what could be considered your average snobby kid who thinks she's too good for everyone else. At least that's what everyone besides her best friend thinks. The thing is, Luz has a secret. One that if revealed could risk her life as well as her step-sister's.
But when Alex moves in town, he wants to get close to her. He sees that she is hiding something big . But as time goes on Luz discovers new secrets, ones she never comprehended could exist.
Soon Luz starts to see what she is risking, as the secrets become darker and deeper. Luz recognises that she can either risk everything just to be happy or she can pretend she never discovered it and try to move on through the pain.
