The next morning Jayden picks me up, claiming she doesn't want me to have to ride in 'my death trap', as she calls it. To be fair, it does make a lot of strange noises so I wouldn't be surprised if it did blow up or something. She's in a white athletic tee, with ripped jeans and a flannel. I like to call it her lesbian outfit, which she does not appreciate.

We pull up to the senior parking lot and she pulls into a far away spot, which she never does. Jayden's the kind of person to argue her way into a good spot, and if that doesn't work she intimidates the unsuspecting seniors into giving her their spots.

I open my mouth to ask her, but I never get the chance because before I know it, her soft lips are covering mine, and sparks are running down my body. Before I get a chance to kiss her back, she pulls away, her eyes filled with anxiety.

She starts apologizing, but doesn't get very far before I gently tug at her shirt and pull her in again, our lips meeting in a heated embrace. After a few minutes I pull away, motioning to the clock on the dashboard. Her eyes face lights up in surprise and she jumps out of the car and grabs her bag, motioning for me to do the same.

Before we head inside she stops me, her swollen lips forming a grin. "I've wanted to do that for a long time."

I grin back at her. "I know."

When we enter the building, I whisper something in her ear before pulling away and heading in an opposite direction, as my homeroom is across the building from hers. As I'm walking down the hallway, I notice everyone huddled in small groups, whispering among each other. My heart races as I wonder if someone saw Jayden and I, but I calm down when I see Morgan waiting at my locker. I shoulder my backpack and open my locker while Morgan starts talking.

"Did you hear?" She asks, a wide smile covering her face.

I roll my eyes. "Hear what? Let me guess, someone else is pregnant. Maybe it's A-"

She cuts me off, leaning in and whispering. "No dumbass, Mila dumped Paisley last night."

I look up at her in surprise. "What? Why?"

Morgan shrugs, "No one's really sure, though I've heard some rumors that say Mila was interested in someone else."

I try to shrug it off, but I can't stop thinking about it. Why would Mila dump someone like Paisley? I mean, there isn't even anyone around here who compares to Paisley.

Morgan cocks an eyebrow as I realize that I just said that out loud. Shit. Luckily, the bell rings and I have an excuse to run away from Morgan, though I can feel her eyes watching me go down the hallway.

I step into homeroom, freezing when I see the look on Paisley's face. She looks mad, and the word doesn't even do anything to describe the glare on her face. Everyone in the classroom is silent, most likely too intimidated to say anything.

I walk over to my desk and place my bag next to me on the ground. Paisley doesn't even acknowledge me, she doesn't even look in my general direction. She just keeps her unwavering glare fixated on the board in the front of the classroom. I sit forward in my seat, craning my head forward so I can talk to the guy in front of me.

"Psst. Henry." I hiss, and he turns around, but so does Paisley, her glare now focused on me.

"What do you want Brooke?" He asks, his eyes darting between Paisley and I.

"Oh nothing, I just wanted to see if Paisley would actually acknowledge me. He turns around quickly, seemingly grateful to get out from under Paisley's glare. She's still staring at me, brown eyes dull with anger.

"You okay there Lewis?" I ask, noticing her eyes light up with surprise.

She scoffs. "Like you care."
