Tomorrow is Paisley's first game of the season, and to say I'm nervous would be an understatement. Not only do I have to worry about her getting hurt, I have to perfectly play my role as her girlfriend. All while being surrounded by my best friends, who know me better than I know myself.

I've freaked myself out about this so much, that today I'm going over to Paisley's, because she wanted to calm me down. I stayed up late last night making flashcards, so we know everything a couple in love should know about each other.

An hour before I have to go, my dad pulls me into his office, gently shutting the door behind us.

"Hey kiddo." He says, his warm brown eyes searching mine.

"Hey dad." I respond, still confused on what's happening.

"I just wanted to check in, and make sure my little girl was ok. You've seemed stressed lately, and I want to do everything in my power to make you happy."

He pulls me into a hug, and I inhale, his familiar scent comforting me immediately. I've always been a daddy's girl, ever since I can remember we've been inseparable.

"I love you dad." I murmur, my voice muffled by his shirt.

"I love you too kiddo. Have fun on your date tonight." He winks and heads out the door, leaving me with my thoughts.

***

When Jake drops me off, my mouth drops open. Paisley wasn't joking about having a big house. It's a mansion, with a security gate and everything. The security guard must know I'm coming, because he buzzes me in right away. I walk up to the front door, still looking at everything in awe. When I knock on the door, an older woman that I don't recognize opens it.

"What can I do for you sweetie?" She asks, a smile gracing her pale features.

"I'm here for Paisley." I say, smiling back. "I think she should be expecting me."

Her face brightens with recognition, and she ushers me inside the house, closing the door firmly behind me.

"Then you must be Brooke. Paisley hasn't stopped talking about you, it's always 'Brooke this' and 'Grandma did I tell you how pretty Brooke looked today' or-"

"Okay I think you've successfully embarrassed me grandma." A voice says by the door, and I spin around, stopping when I see what Paisley's wearing, or rather what she's not wearing. She's wearing a sports bra and shorts, both glistened in sweat. And her abs are on full display, shiny from working out.

"Well, I'll leave you two alone now. Have fun, and it was nice to finally meet you Brooke." She winks and walks away, leaving me alone with Paisley.

Paisley starts up the stairs before I interrupt her.

"Are you going to change?"

She looks down, then realizes what I'm asking. "Are you saying you can't control yourself around me Brooke?"

"I- I never said that!" I exclaim, trying (and failing) to keep my eyes off her abs.

"Well if you're fine, I'll just stay like this."

"Fine!"

We head up to her room, which shouldn't even be considered a room, since it's basically the whole top floor of the house.

"Here we are." She says, gesturing around the room. It's large, with barely any furniture since she just moved in, but it still feels like Paisley. The only things on display are her football posters, and her signed jerseys, each jersey worth thousands.

She grabs my shoulders, steering me back out the door, and I look up at her in confusion.

"What are you doing?"

She laughs, heading downstairs. "You didn't really think I was going to let you get away with more studying on the weekend."

"How else are we going to learn about each other?"

She pulls me into the garage, opening the passenger side of her car and gesturing for me to get in before heading to the other side and climbing in herself. She starts the car and starts down the driveway, before turning to reply to me.

"How normal people get to know each other. We're going on a date."

Thank you guys so much for all the love recently! I'll have another update tomorrow, to thank you for all the support! I love you all so much! Have a great day <3
