a/n: Oh honey i do all types of x reader writing don't underestimate my ability to write. But I'm glad you like my writing! Yes I do, do headcanons! I didn't know exactly what headcanons you were looking for or how many you wanted so I picked out four simple but absolutely adorable scenarios and put this together for you. 🥺❤️

1. Waking up with Him

- "Y/N..." This man repeatedly has to call your name multiple times if you're persistent on sleeping.

- He plays with your hair as he tries to wake you up cause you both fell asleep cuddling last night.

- You making an extremely adorable noise in protest since you're so sleepy

- HE HEARS THE NOISE AND ALL HIS UWUS JUST SPILL RIGHT THEN AND THERE

- This man will whisper in your ear to wake you up despite how adorable you look.

- I imagine Yamaguchi having this soft and loving voice on some mornings and on the days you wake up after having late nights his voice is all sexy sounding.

- But this morning is a soft and loving and gentle voice morning for Yamaguchi. So he's whispering in your ear trying to wake you up.

- If it was up to him he definitely would've stayed and cuddled you all day, but you guys really had to go to school.

- He finally wakes you up and you start pouting but then he gives you a morning kiss so it's okay.

- Bonus! You two would have this absolutely adorable morning routine while you just share the bathroom together. Like you could be taking a shower and Yamaguchi could be brushing his teeth and then you start singing in the shower and he sings along or harmonizes with you.

- I SEE THIS MAN HAVING AN AMAZING SINGING VOICE BUT HE DOESN'T REALLY SING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE CAUSE HE'S SHY so instead this baby really sings just for you whenever you want him too cause he loves you uwu

2. Cooking/Baking With Him

- Thankfully, Yamaguchi has somewhat of an idea of how to cook or bake

- If it's simple things like eggs, ramen, cookies, cakes or brownies then he can totally make those things without fail!

- But if you bring up a fancy dish you wanna cook to Yamaguchi he's gonna be like: "Let me get this straight, you want me to cook that with you? You do realize our kitchen is at stake right?"

- With enough pleading he will give in! And when I say pleading, I mean one please right after he says he ain't sure and he'll totally do it or try to at least.

- "Y/N I'M SCARED FOR THE KITCHEN!"

- "DON'T BE YOU'LL BE FINE YOU HAVE ME!"

- So the dish ends up turning out great.

- So great it deserves a chef's kiss. Mwah.

- Yamaguchi is so proud that he almost starts crying but you literally tell him not to cry so he doesn't.

- When he finally gets cooking as a whole down you two are this cooking and baking power couple!

- COUPLES WHO BAKE TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER

- When you cook/bake together whatever you're cooking/baking taste twice as good as it normally does and it's faster!

- You guys will switch out on making dinner. Like if you cook one night he'll cook another night.

- If you've had a rough week Yamaguchi would make up a whole romantic dinner so you can relax, take a nice bath and then afterwards you two would cuddle and watch a movie.

- And then when it's a special occasion, like if its your birthday, instead of ordering a cake Yamaguchi will go out of his way to make a cake from scratch himself.

- And if its you two's anniversary you two would be baking a cake together so it's an extremely special anniversary cake.

- During the process of making the cake if you both are feeling silly there will be a flour fight.

- At the end of the flour fight you two are probably all covered in flour in the kitchen looks white as snow but you continue to bake your cake regardless.

- While your cake is baking you clean up and if you finish cleaning up before the cake is out the oven you two will cuddle on the couch and watch a movie once you change your clothes into outfits not all covered in flour.

- Cooking/Baking with Yams is one of the best things in your relationship.

3. Crying in Front of Him

- If you cry in front of this babie it will take the whole life out of him to make sure he doesn't start crying too.

- Him crying depends on how emotional you are and how many tears you shed.

- Like if you're crying a river this man will literally hug you and bawl with you.

- And then after that you two will watch a movie while eating ice cream and crying together.

- Now if you aren't crying too much then he might shed a few tears with you then hear you out.

- Once he listens to what you have to say he tries to give you the best advice if you have a problem and if it's not a problem then he tries to comfort you the best way he can.

- Honestly Yamaguchi hates seeing you sad.

- He absolutely adores your smile so when you're sad he's sad too because he hates it when you're hurting.

- Especially when he can't do anything to stop you from hurting, it definitely breaks his heart because he wants to be the best boyfriend for you.

4. Him Listening To You Talk About Your Day

- Yamaguchi is probably one of the best listeners on the Karasuno's boys' volleyball team.

- Baby will hear you out anywhere, anytime, no matter how he feels.

- This man will put you first and he's super observative.

- So if he sees that you're down, or tired, or stressed OR ANYTHING THAT'S NOT HAPPY he's just like:

- "you. me. talk. now. i'm all ears."

- If you need to vent he'll let you vent. Yamaguchi is right there when you need him.

- If you're telling him someone was testing your patience one day he's gonna go all mama Suga and be like "I KNOW THEY WEREN'T TESTING MY BABY. DO WE NEED TO CONFRONT THEM?"

- cause let's be honest this baby has been spending a lot of time on the sidelines with suga when he's not pinch serving.

- but it really doesn't matter what kind of day you have or how you feel whether happy or sad because yamaguchi always makes sure you two talk about your days with each other.

- he's scared to have a miscommunication in your relationship so he hears you out whenever he can.

- and while your talking to him he'll either be playing in your hair or braiding your hair.

- if you just got out the shower he'll sit on the bed with you and blow dry your hair as you talk about your day.

- if he comes home late from practice and you're already asleep he cuddles you and talks to you about his day just hoping you had a good day.

- yamaguchi needs to be protected as a whole he's so precious 🥺
