'I should've stayed at home.' Sugawara sighed to himself as took another shot while watching everybody else interact with each other.

Suga's currently at a reunion with his old teammates from Karasuno's boys' volleyball team and everyone's having a great time. Except for Sugawara. Despite being around the people that love him he still happens to feel alone.

'I wonder what she's up to...' Sugawara thought before checking his phone to see if he's gotten any new notifications. Actually, he check his phone to see if there's any new notifications from a certain someone. That someone being Y/N L/N.

Suga didn't see any missed calls or texts from her so he decided to look through his photo album full of pictures of him and her together just going through the memories. 'I could've made you mine...' Sugawara thought to himself as a sigh elicited from his lips.

Every time Suga had that same thought, he would always counter it. He'd counter it by telling himself that it wasn't meant to be. That he wasn't made for her and that she wasn't made for him. He'd tell himself that because before Sugawara ever got the chance to confess Y/N went to Tokyo for college.

Tokyo and Miyagi was a bit far in distance when it came to each other. 424.8 kilometres far to be exact, and that's by car. At the beginning of this long distance friendship, it seemed easy to Suga because he would do anything for her, and anything to see her considering the circumstances.

The reason why Sugawara would do anything for Y/N is because he wants nothing more than to be her favorite boy. He just wants to be the one who makes her day and the one she thinks about as she lies awake on the day she stays up doing nothing in particular. Y/N's sleep schedule is a wreck and both of them know it. Yet some days they can't help but laugh about it together.

And despite how long it's been without Y/N, Sugawara still dreams of marrying her just like he always had. Marrying Y/N has been a goal of Suga's ever since he first fell in love with her. He might have been Karasuno's number two, but he can't wait to be her number one.

Before the distance, Sugawara and Y/N always supported each other through everything. Whenever Suga had a volleyball game Y/N was always there cheering the loudest for him and the rest of Karasuno in the stands. And in return, when Y/N ran for track Suga was always there cheering the loudest for her with his friends. He even had snacks and water for her. They were each other's biggest fan.

And even after Y/N moved, the first couple weeks she and Koushi stayed up late on FaceTime calls talking to each other. They would talk for hours sometimes even talking till 4 in the morning. They talked about different things all the time. The topics ranged from lighthearted and stupid questions to deep philosophical thinking and what was the point in life.

"Suga."

"Y/N..."

"Sugawara."

"I miss you..."

"SUGAWARA KOUSHI!" Daichi yelled finally getting Suga's attention. "Huh?" Sugawara answered dumbly as he realized his best friend was talking to him. "You were spacing out again." Daichi replied looking at him with concern in his eyes. "That's the fifth time this week..." Koushi sighed in return meeting Daichi's eyes. The fifth time he spaced out thinking about Y/N this week, that is.

"Seriously?" Daichi said with his eyes widening in a bit of shock. "Then go see her." He said without hesitation. "Wha?" Sugawara asked in a shocked tone of voice. "You heard me. Go see her. You smile a lot more when you're talking to her or even just talking about her. Besides you two look great together. Go confess." Daichi gave his advice and that was it.

"Wait right now?" Suga questioned with his mouth gaping open. "No Suga, a million years later while you two are laying dead in your coffins and buried six feet under–YES RIGHT NOW!" Daichi screamed at him. "You know what, you're right! I'm leaving!" Sugawara immediately got up from his seat as he grabbed his car keys.

He was going to get the girl. He was going to drive all the way to Tokyo right now, and get the girl. My bad, he was going to get his girl. The girl he's been watching, and secretly loving for years.

And so that's what he did. Suga got in his car and drove to Tokyo. Soon enough, he pulled up in Y/N's driveway. And without hesitation, he got out of his car, walked straight up to the porch and rung the doorbell.

"Honestly, who in their right mind is ringing the doorbell at 2 AM in the morning!" Y/N muttered a complaint as she opened the door. And as soon as she laid eyes on the person who rung the doorbell, her eyes went wide. To be honest it makes sense, Sugawara's the only person who knew about Y/N's dysfunctional sleep schedule. No one else in their right mind would ring the doorbell this late at night. Especially since Y/N's neighbors are all determined that she's crazy.

"Suga! What are you doing he-?" And before Y/N even got to finish her question he said it.

"Y/N. I'm in love with you." Sugawara said in all seriousness while gazing in her eyes. Y/N's eyes widened. Suga drove all the way to Tokyo and it's 2 am in the morning, to confess to her. "Suga what?" She grinned. "I'm in love you with, Y/N." Sugawara said again before taking a deep breath saying it slowly this time.

"I love you, Y/N L/N." Suga said smiling his adorable smile that could light up the entire sky at her. The only thing she could to was grin. Y/N was so happy that he loved her. So why did Suga's confession break her heart into pieces? And it got so bad to the point she started crying.

Sugawara didn't know what to do. He didn't expect her to start crying. Hell, he didn't even plan any of this out or think about how it would go until after the words left his mouth. Was his heart being broken? Or was Y/N crying happy tears? Poor Koushi's so tired he couldn't tell.

"I love you too, Sugawara..." Y/N said sniffling. "Then why are you crying?" Suga replied quietly looking at her worriedly. He should feel happy he returned her feelings. But why does everything about this feel so wrong?

"Suga..." She whimpered in tears. The tone of voice made Suga worried. All he could do was watch the love of his life sob as her eyes got red and puffy.

"I'm currently in a relationship that's been ongoing for four years..."
