Kenma sighed softly as he played animal crossing new horizons on his switch. Which time was that? Yes, that was the fifth time today he sighed.

He wasn't sighing because anything was wrong, but he was sighing because he couldn't stop thinking of a certain girl.

He never thought he'd actually be attracted to someone like he was attracted to her, his girlfriend, Y/N L/N. He felt like she and him were both fools. He felt like he was a fool for chasing after nothing great.

Meanwhile, he thought that she was just a fool to keep pretending that she loves him. She was interested in him. She was always interested in him. She couldn't help but wonder what went on in that mind of his.

Kozume's creativity and imagination knew no bounds. And she somehow knew that. That's what attracted her to him in the first place. But when Y/N first talked to him, he couldn't believe it.

'A girl? Talking to me? She does realize that she's not talking to Kuroo right? Wait, did she want me to help her talk to Kuroo? Wait that wasn't it? What does she possibly want from me?' Was what Kenma thought when he first met Y/N and they first started talking.

She genuinely wanted to get to know him. When they first met, he was doing laps with the rest of the team and while he was behind he ended up losing them due to his own imagination. He didn't know where he was supposed to go.

Y/N found him at the time and helped him get back on track. Kuroo thanked her for him as Kozume just stared at her wondering why she helped him.

She mentioned she was practicing alone for track as she was on the track team and she happened to see Kenma who looked a little lost.

After they first met, the two surprisingly became friends. Well, much to Kozume's surprised. Y/N was really fascinated in him.

She took a quick liking to him and wanted to simply understand his thought process. He was unlike any other guy she's met before.

After the friendship stage and finding that they shared common interests, like their love of games, taste in music and what they did in their free time they started hanging out.

Eventually from there, they started dating. Their first kiss was shared after a game of mariokart and it couldn't have been any sweeter.

As Kenma was thinking back to the first time he had met the girl, he got a phone call. Who could possibly be calling him at 3 am? "Speak of the angel." He mumbled before picking up the phone seeing that it was Y/N.

Y/N was crying, Kenma blinked at first. He's normally used to hearing Y/N having a more than chipper voice but this time was different. Despite being awake playing games, he talked to her while being half asleep.

As they were on the phone, Y/N started complaining about her mother who died a week ago. Kozume and Kuroo were both there for her telling her to let them know if she needed anything.
