THE FIRST four class periods flew by quite fast and it was finally time for lunch.

Aside from the stares and whispers from students, classes went fairly easy. The students seemed nice, some even going out of their way to say hello to the new girl. Thankfully, none seemed to have heard about her past life in California. Sara was lucky to have Bella in her fourth-period History class and the pair were able to sit together.

Sara was thankful to have made a friend in Bella Swan and Bella seemed to feel the same way. As they made their way to their lockers, Sara listened as Bella told her of her life back in Arizona — recalling memories of ballet and tripping.

They put their things away, walking to the cafeteria as they continued to talk about little things — Bella mostly complaining about the insane amount of rain that Forks seemed to produce. As they entered the cafeteria, the two grew slightly silent as they watched the chaos of high school students in the large room. They turned to face each other, Sara smiling slightly as Bella bit her lip. "Well, let's go get lunch I guess —" she said quietly, leading the way to the lunch line.

As they paid for their food, a shout caught their attention. "Bella! Sara! Come eat with us," a girl said, waving them over. Sara shrugged and made her way to them, Bella following behind. They both took seats at the table — setting their food on the table. People crowded the table, mostly men who were playing around with one another. The girl, whose name was Jessica and was in their history class, rolled her eyes at the men, picking up an apple and taking a bite.

Sara moved her hand to pick up her fork to eat her salad when a bright light suddenly blinded her. "Sorry, I need a picture for my feature," a smaller girl said, adjusting her glasses before sitting down in a free chair. "Hey get my good side," Sara said, dramatically fixing her hair with a playful smile.

Bella opened her mouth to say something before she was interrupted. "The feature is dead, Angela. Don't bring it up again," Eric said sharply with a playful edge, his arm once again going around Bella's shoulders. Bella shifted in her seat slightly, sending Sara a pleading look.

Sara let out a quiet laugh, reaching over to grab Eric's arm and shove it off Bella with a playful smirk. "Hands to yourself, pretty boy."

The table watched this, erupting in laughter. A blonde boy made his way to the table, reaching over to Bella's plate to grab a french fry before popping it into his mouth. "Mike, you met my homegirls Bella and Sara," Eric said, taking a sip from his water. "Your homegirls?" Mike said, raising his eyebrows. "My homegirls," an unknown voice said, a man coming and pressing a kiss on both girls' cheeks.

Sara gasped slightly, turning to ram her foot into the man's leg. "Touch me again—," she hissed slightly, grabbing the man by his arm "—And I swear to fucking god I'll shove my foot so far up your ass, you'll taste it for a week straight," Bella raised her eyebrows at Sara's threat, holding back a small laugh as she looked down at the table.

"Oh my god — It's first grade all over again and both of you are the shiny new toys," Jessica said sarcastically, taking a sip of water. Sara laughed. "I'm always the shiny new toy, baby," she said, watching as the boys chased each other as if they were in elementary school. She almost felt welcome here, as if something good could come from moving to this new place.

Maybe the move wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Sara and Bella's attention was drawn away from the group as the double doors to the cafeteria opened and in walked a small group of students. Except — they didn't look like normal students. With their blinding beauty and pale skin, they were completely different than your regular students. As they gracefully walked, Sara looked over at Bella to see her staring at the mystery people. Not only that, but Jessica and Angela were also staring.
