THROUGHOUT THE bus drive up to Port  Angeles, both Sara and Bella were quiet — their heads caught up in mysteries.

Music blared through the blonde's earphones, drowning out the loud chaos of students happening a few seats ahead of them.

The melody of Everybody Wants to Rule the World sent a flood of warmth throughout the girl's body, her eyes staring outside the window as different shades of green and grey passed quickly.

Finally, they had arrived at their destination. As she took out her earphones, Sara found herself shivering slightly. She clutched her brown jacket closer to her body, wrapping her arms around herself. It was fucking freezing, even for Forks.

She walked alongside Bella as they entered the small building, their teacher going on about how photosynthesis worked. "Hey, what are you doing this weekend?" Sara found herself wondering out loud, looking over at the brunette.

Bella shrugged slightly, looking at her feet while she walked. "Nothing really. Why what's up?" "I was hoping maybe you would wanna come over this tomorrow. My mother is out of town until Sunday for an emergency surgery up in Seattle and I just—" she paused to bite her lip softly, furrowing her eyebrows. "I don't really like being alone. Silence bugs me," she said with a chuckle, laughing stiffly.

Truth was, she felt like she was never alone, as if someone was watching her at every moment. Not only that, but her nightmares were starting to come back. For the first time in a couple of months, she was scared again.

"Yeah, Charlie should be okay with it. I'll just text you after I talk to him."

"Good, now I can force you to watch Les Miserables with me and make you fall in love with Enjolras," Sara said with a smirk, sending a wink to the girl beside her. Bella scoffed, a smile grazing her lips as she pretended to gag. "Hey, Aaron Tveit is a fucking hottie, babe."
She said with a dreamy smile. "Mmh — sure, " Bella responded with a roll of her brown eyes.

"Can I talk to you?" A low voice sounded from behind the girls. Both turned sharply to meet the hard gaze of Edward Cullen, his eyes fixated on Bella.

Edward sent the blonde a quick glance, his eyes practically asking her to leave. She rolled her eyes slightly, stopping to let the pair pass her. Bella gave her thankful eyes, sending a reassuring smile to her best friend.

The truth was — Sara had taken a disliking to Edward. After hearing Bella rant about his actions to her, Sara wanted to personally slap him, just like how she wanted to slap Jasper for the way he had treated her in the past week. What was wrong with men these days?

Sara trailed behind, absentmindedly looking at the green plants surrounding her. Her mind was empty — completely blank from emotions and thinking.

She was good with detaching herself. She preferred to feel and think nothing rather than feeling the sadness while thinking of past memories. She was good with feeling nothing.

"Nature really is beautiful," A voice said, causing the girl to jump slightly in surprise. She turned her head to lock eyes with the familiar honey color she had grown to love and hate. A soft smile rested on his pale face, his flawless features glowing smoothly. It was a large contrast from the usual grimace that covered his face. She could see that though his eyes were lighter than before — which brought upon many other questions — yet they were still hollow with lack of life.

Fucking Jasper with his god damn beautiful face and eyes — she thought to herself, raising her eyebrows slightly. This was the first time she had heard the man's voice and she couldn't help but enjoy the shivers it sent down her spine.
