MUCH TO Sara's dismay, Bella hadn't shown up to school all throughout the day, which was a strange occurrence. Isabella Swan had stated many times in the past that she would never ditch a day of school, nor neglect to tell anyone if she had been sick. Bella was obsessed with her work, making sure to always be on top of all assignments and homework. Even after texting the missing brunette and not getting a response, she knew something was off.

Her worries and curiosity only grew when it was lunchtime and she had noticed a missing seat at the infamous table in the corner. Edward Cullen, like Bella, had disappeared.

As Sara sat absent-mindedly at the table with her friends, she couldn't keep herself from casting glances back to the table, meeting the gazes of the godlike creatures known as the Cullens and Hales. Jasper had noticed the girl's gaze, looking back to his siblings in question. He knew what was wrong.

"I'll go talk to her, " he muttered softly, standing from his place and making his way over to the girl.

She watched as he made his way to her, her she's never leaving hers. All conversation at the table ceased, everyone looking up to stare at the perfect boy approaching Sara.

"Walk with me?" he asked, holding his hand out to the girl. She stared at it, her eyes studying it for a moment.

"Yes! She would love to walk with you," Jessica's voice broke out, giving the girl a push on her back. She jolted, standing quickly while sending her friend a glare.

"Sure. Walk with me, " she said suspiciously, making her way out of the cafeteria and into the school halls without him.

Of course, he caught up easily, reaching out to grip her shoulder and turn her around. She sharply turned, glaring at the man.

"Where's Bella, " she said abruptly, folding her arms across her chest.

Jasper looked confused, furrowing his eyebrows. "I'm not sure."

Truth was, he knew where Bella currently was. Bella had confronted Edward just that morning, claiming to know what they were. Of course, she was correct, and Edward went through a dramatic performance in an attempt to scare her off.

Bella being Bella, that didn't work. Now, she and Edward we're somewhere in the forest, confessing their love for each other. How sweet. When Alice had figured out what Bella was planning, the family had agreed on telling Bella not to say anything to Sara. This was dangerous - to have humans knowing what they were.

Jasper sometimes wished he was stupid - then maybe he'd be able to just tell Sara what he really was - just like Edward. However, Jasper was older, wiser - and he knew better.

"That's bullshit, " she snapped, taking a step closer to the man. She was angry; Jasper could feel the anger rolling off her in waves and with it came the high. He inhaled, taking a step back. "Bella called me last night, telling me she would confront him today at school. Then they just... Disappear?"

"Sara, " he started, feining a look of innocence. "I have no idea where they are. If you'd like, I can call Edward right now and check to see if she's with him."

Sara seemed to relax slightly at this, nodding sharply. She kept her suspicious gaze on him, her jaw tense as he pulled out his phone and dialed a number. Pressing the phone to his ear, he locked eyes with the girl again, listening as the phone rang. Finally, a voice picked up.

"Hello?"

"Edward, is Bella with you?" Jasper asked, raising his eyebrows at the girl in front of him. She made her way over to him, leaning up on her tiptoes to less her ear against the side of the phone to listen. Jasper bent his knees slightly to her level, helping her listen in.

"Yes, actually. She's right here."

Jasper nodded, casting a quick look at the girl trying to eavesdrop on the conversation.

"Alright, thank you. I'll see you later, then."

"See you later, Jasper."

He hung up, flipping his phone closed and shoving it back into his pocket while Sara let out a sheepish chuckle, bringing her hand up to brush away some hair from her face.

"I'm so sorry - I just get kinda paranoid, I guess, " she said quietly, leaning against the lockers with a loud sigh. Jasper joined her, shaking his head slowly. "There's nothing wrong with that, Sara. You care about your friend."

She shrugged, looking down at the floor in silence. She felt a wave of calm fight away the frustration and stress that had built itself up in her mind, her body relaxing slightly at the sudden emotional change.

"Something about you grounds me, Jasper, " she said softly, closing her eyes as she sank down the metal lockers, resting once she reached the bottom. Her knees curled up to her chest, a sigh escaping her lips as Jasper took a seat next to her.

"I have a way of emotionally helping people, " he murmured, slightly smiling at the irony of his words. Using his ability, he sent another calm wave through her body.

"I'll be needing you around more, " she said with a small chuckle, letting her head tilt to the side to rest on his shoulder. Jasper tensed suddenly at the sudden contact before relaxing again, making sure to breathe through his mouth rather than his nose. He had gotten better with controlling his appetite around her, learning to push down the burning sensation he had come to know so personally.

Luckily for him, Sara didn't seem to notice the tension in his body. She seemed far away in the lands of relaxation Jasper seemed to transport her to. She could feel the tiredness sneaking up on her again, the pull to sleep overcoming yet body completely.

And in silence, they sat just like that for the rest of the lunch period; Jasper staring lovingly at the girl laying on his shoulder, a happy smile gracing his face as she slightly snoozed.

So, I just wanted to explain something really quick.
Sometimes, Jasper can read her emotions. Other times, he can't. Because Sara has a habit of numbing herself and pushing away her feelings and emotions, she can lock them away and feel nothing; therefore, Jasper feels nothing coming off her when this happens.

Some fluff, could be better tho. Hope you enjoy it.
