FINALLY, THE bell rang for lunch, and rather quickly, Sara was out the door. She put her hands in her sweatshirt pocket, making her way down the hallway alone amongst a crowd of students.
School wasn't so bad — in fact, Sara found herself looking forward to seeing her newly found friends each day of the week. She had grown to love each person in their own ways, and Sara thrived off the energy of her friends. Without them, she was bored, lonely, and sad. Her friends provided something to ease her mind from dark lingering thoughts; they kept her busy.
She needed them more then she could ever admit or realize.
"Hey, Adams," a voice sounded from her right side, causing the girl to slightly jump before sending a glare at the culprit. Realizing who it was, she smirked, looking back ahead of her as they walked to the cafeteria.
"Hello, Hale," she said smugly. She liked to think she was that bitch, but deep down she tried to fight the fluttering feeling of the butterflies in her stomach.
Jasper could hear her heart pick up pace upon his arrival, and he couldn't help but smirk to himself.
The girl had a question on the tip of her tongue — something she needed to be cleared. She could t wait any longer. Before she knew what was happening, she had blurted out the question.
"Are you and Alice together?"
He looked slightly shocked at the question, like he hadn't been expecting it. Well, he really was expecting it, but not this soon.
Slowly, he shook his head, his gaze falling to the floor. He felt slightly upset with himself, though he knew he couldn't blame his emotions. For the first time, Jasper was finally feeling things that were his, not the surrounding emotions of other people.
Sara couldn't help the small sigh of relief that escaped her lips — the breath she hadn't even known she was holding in was finally let go. "I'm sorry. It's just that my friends thought you both were and I wanted to be sure," she said softly, giving the man a small smile. He shook his head, giving her one in return. "Don't worry, it's fine," he said quietly.
Trying to break the tension, he glanced at her jacket, admiring it with a small smile.
"Nice jacket. You like The Beatles?"
She scoffed at his question, using a hand to brush away some strands of hair in her face. "Who doesn't? They're a classic, babe."
Jasper nodded approvingly. He had been to a few concerts of theirs when they were a small group performing up in Hamburg, Germany — when they still had Pete Best as their drummer. He definitely was a fan.
"I like your jacket better though. Mind if I wear it?" She asked, innocently looking up at him. She wasn't lying — her love for that particular jacket was huge and she couldn't get the comfy feeling of it out of her mind.
Jasper raised an eyebrow, smirking at the girls words before murmuring a "sure."
The hallways were empty now, everyone already having made their way into the cafeteria or off campus for lunch. The couple lingered, however, and they came to a stop as jasper placed his black backpack onto the floor beside him. Reaching down, he pulled his hoodie over his head and handed it to the girl, fixing his crinkled shirt.
Sara did the same; she dropped her backpack, shrugging off her jacket. Jasper, however, quickly turned his eyes away from the girl as he realized she was only wearing a sports bra beneath the fabric. She noticed his turn in attention and scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Chill out, It's just a damn bra, man. No different then being in a bathing suit."
She held his jacket, pulling it over her head with a sheepish smile. Good thing there were no cameras at this school.
Jasper turned to look at her again, embarrassment still shining across his face.
Suddenly she looked at him, her face blank. "Wait — maybe you should take this back. You'll be soaked if you have no jacket."
He simply pointed out the window of the hallway, showing the girl it had, in fact, stopped raining. Clouds still hung in the air, the sky a thick blanket of different shades of gray.
"Oh," she said, picking her backpack back up and zipping it open, throwing her own jacket into it before closing it and pulling it onto her shoulder.
She let out a small happy sigh, her gaze looking back at the man beside her. She openly checked him out, her gaze falling on his ass once again. He cocked an eyebrow, moving his hands to rest in his hips amusingly.
Finally, she looked back up to meet his golden eyes. "Looking good, Hale," she flirted , sending the man a wink before making her way out of the hallway.
Yeah — maybe she was that Bitch.

"Oooo, look what we got here," Eric teased, throwing a single fry at the girl. She sent him a death glare, dodging the fry by just an inch.
"Love the new jacket, babe," Jessica said, a knowing smile on her face as Sara sat at the lunch table of students.
"Looks great on me, doesn't it," she replied back, sending a wink to her brunette friend.
"So, like — are you two a thing now? Or..." Tyler asked, sending a glance between the blonde girl and the table across the room.
Instinctively, Sara's eyes trailed over to the table, examining the family in the corner of the cafeteria. All members of the family had amusing looks on their faces, all but Alice.
Alice's gaze was held on the floor of the cafeteria, her head resting in her palm as she looked empty mindlessly away from the group. She looked miserable, her the usual light from her eyes completely gone. The usual purple bags under her eyes had become much more noticeable, her skin pale and looking frail. She looked lonely.
She suddenly looked away, an awful feeling of understanding overcoming her.
"Hello? Earth to Sara?" Mike asked slowly, raising his eyebrows in question.
"Sorry, I was pretending I was somewhere better." She yawned, though there was a playful tone behind her voice.
The boy rolled his eyes, waving a hand for her to continue.
"Uh, no, we aren't together. I barely even know him," she said simply, leaning over to steal a fry off Bella's plate. "Besides," she continued, chewing the food in her mouth. "I don't need a man. And even if I did have one, they wouldn't be able to handle me," she added with a smirk, brushing the hair away from her face.
"Woo! We love a queen," Jessica piped up, clapping her hands."
"Who needs a man when you have Jessica," Sara cheekily smiled, wrapping an arm around the girls shoulders. Jessica leaned up to place a kiss on her cheek, but Sara had moved her head to the side sharply and instead, their lips met each other's.
Quickly, they pulled away, not expecting the contact. The group stared dumbfounded at the girls, their eyes wide as they watched the scene.
Silence filled the group, the only noise surrounding them coming from the other tables.
"I think I'm gay," Sara deadpanned, breaking the silence. Immediately, the entire group erupted into loud laughter, the boys cheering loudly.
Her face stung as she smiled, her lips tingling as she laughed hard. She felt so secure with this group — something she hadn't felt for awhile. She felt happy.
She was finally home.
Yes I honestly love this chapter. In the last ones, I didn't leave a lot of room for character development, so these next chapters are basically how Sara and her friends are. I hope you enjoy :)
Some people may not like Sara, but I honestly like her! She's gonna have moments (like every single person irl) that will make you go "wtf???" But other then that, I hope you enjoy herVote, comment, share!
Hope you enjoyed :))
