MY VIEWPOINT—1

The infinite cosmos inhabits a myriad of galaxies, swirling in a harmonic motion along the beats of an unknown symphony. Amongst these clusters of galaxies revolve miniscule planets, inhabiting life forms, maybe known or unknown to mankind. The melody of the universe reverberates through each one of these diminutive globes.

So does it through our miniature planet we treasure. The rhythm is set through by the continuous cycles of the nature. And we are a part of this rhythm, contributing to this beautifully orchestrated play. Ergo we have a purpose; an important role in the perpetuation of this play.

We have been chosen by the eternal, for a reason on the basis of our virtues. We are here to keep the magnificence of the nature intact, or shine it more with our virtues. And as the cycle of life goes, we are all meant to do our part and then perish, or transform into wee little chickling ready to be guided into another dimension to play our next role. This is the law that keeps our life, the nature going and this is what which should keep us thriving.

But while some realise this, some remain blinded with their viewpoints. They take time to understand other's perception for they are adamant of what they see; could be hurt, could be faith or could be mere disinterest. Nonetheless, they surely do realise it; even if at the brink of their last breath. That's the beauty of our humane souls.

As humans, we have our own omens and demons. Even as we breathe, they breathe along. They are the reason for the balance in life. Without them, we wouldn't have a goal in life to strive to be a better version of ourselves. This struggle for the best of ourself is the least that makes us human. We understand well the distinction of the good over evil.

We can never be good without evil; just like how we cannot have light without dark.

And hence was my purpose. For the current prevalence of the possibility of the disruption of this flow, I was chosen fatefully to stop it. And that was what kept the fire in the pit of stomach burning. I wouldn't stop at anything, even if it meant for me to scratch the hair off my scalp or tear away every obstacle with my nails.

Frustration flooded my veins as I scan through my barely illuminated surroundings. I had stalked the entire area of the wide, expansive and concealed room; but there seemed no way out. Most of the heavy-weight machines had stopped functioning since I had damaged their main unit.

The cool air brushed my perspired skin as I stare at the flickering screen of the only functional gizmo. The disrupting dots and lines seemed to be giving a message; or maybe running a program but morse code was not my thing. I bit my nails as I scan at the buttons and the controls underneath.

I had no clue of what to do next. I gripped my ear and pressed my index finger against the device shoved inside my ear. The last time I heard Jungkook, I was confident that it was through this.

"C-can you hear me?" I quietly whisper as my heart plummeted. The image of the knife sliding past his skin still haunted me. The more I thought about it, the more was I growing impatient of getting out of here. To be with him. And end this shit forever.

I sigh dejected receiving no response. He must be farther from the hearing range. And who knows what he must be going through. Who knows how much he must have gone through. He took the risk of lying to Alexander, for me. Why couldn't he be selfish for himself? Just for once?
